Good job having your kid spot you, iv always had my son help with routine maintenance, its good for them to see and learn, my 10 year old now loves to do the oil change on our 2014
My 16 charger has the same engine layout your video helped me identify where filter housing was and socket size awesome! Do you c hock the rear wheels?
It’s funny you mention jiffy lube over tightening bolts. Went to do my dads oil on his charger today and long behold the bolt is SO tight couldn’t even get it to budge.
Dodge uses drive logic or something on board that goes off of time and also conditions then will pop up on display yo change oil. But intervals on my computer say every 5,000 miles. Me personally every 3,000. My dad always says oils cheap, engines/new car isn't:-)
can you explain something to me, My indicator was at 1 percent, I never wait long to change my oil but this time I did unfortunately , I was gonna have my friend show me how to do the oil change myself in a few days, so I just added a quart of oil till then. after adding the quart, it still read only one percent, which doesn't make sense considering it takes 6 quarts, so one quart would bump the percentage up a bit. Does this indicator just guesstimate the percentage based on miles? Is it not really measuring how much oil is left? Thats bullshit if thats the case, I got an oil change at dodge and it was making weird noises afterwards and now I'm wondering if they never really changed any oil and just reset the indicator, I never checked myself considering I didn't think I was getting screwed but a friend who works for ford did tell me sometimes these places don't actually change the oil. Please give me some info so I can avoiding ruining my engine thanks

The percentage indicator is for the "life" of the oil, not the quantity.
I hope you are kidding and didn’t actually add more oil...
Is the oil and oil filter the same for the 2016 model?
Henry Nguyen
As long as they are the V6 models. V8 models are spin on filters. Which are on the bottom of the vehicle.
breadnguyener I was gonna ask that, thanks for doing it already
