Bruin Vince here. Maybe it would have been better if you did the top 10 players at each position. The biggest shock to me was you not having FlauJae Johnson in your top ten. She killed us in the tournament last year. IMHO, Flaujae and Fulwiley from South Carolina are the two most talented players in WCB. Lauren Betts is the best big in the country, so if UCLA doesn't go far in the tournament this year, it will be because coach Close didn't run her offense through Betts.

The new point guard from Finland will have to adjust in a hurry, because Kiki Rice will be out temporarily with an injury. Actually, I'm looking forward to seeing what she can do. Last year, UCLA outrebounded their opponents in almost every game, and if anything, they should be even more dominant on the glass this year with the great group of bigs that they now have.

She's been there four years, this will be her fifth, she missed nearly two of them with injuries. Football players take redshirt years all the time, even without injuries, but I bet you don't complain about that, do you Vincent?
You did say you were basing primarily on efficiency, which explains the lack of almost any mention of defense. After the top 3, 4-10 could have been picked out of a hat for their order. Although some of the other players do play well on defense, Bueckers and Hidalgo both enhanced their team contributions by their defensive efforts on top of their offense (Bueckers basically playing the 4 all year, and Hidalgo's steals and peskyness adding to her worth.) 11-30 will be interesting and I'm sure at least some of the next group will have people screaming they should have been in the top 10. Here's hoping for an injury free season for everyone, top players to bench warmers.

Per 100 poss & per 40 min Fulwiley is better than them. She does not get enough minutes as SC is loaded. But if I had to choose between the 3 of them MF would be my first pick. MF is crazy good.

You would think that, and i did to but then looked at her on off numbers: overall her net rating is 29.5 on crt and 30.1 off. overall -.06 On offence LSU Offensive rating slightly better113.1 with her off crt & lower when she was on crt at 111.4 But even more surprising on Defence LSU were slightly better with her off the court on than on. as teams offensive rating 83.6 with her on and 81.3 off. Defence rating with her on 113.1 and 111.4 off Oppo Efg% was 43.2% with her on and 38.5% with her off Turnover caused by LSU 22.1% TO off court slightly lower 21.6%. so she does cause TO but all the other defence stats went slightly down with her on crt. Versus Morrow over her net rating 30.7 on and 25.1 off +5.6
I don't know how anyone can look at Flau'jae's game and see a great player. She's averaging 13PPG on poor shooting splits, and nothing else about her exactly jumps off the page. She plays with an athletic fluidity that shows promise, but so far hasn't translated to either efficiency or production. Everything about her screams "average", at best. That's fine, every team needs role players, but calling her "the best 2 way player" is demonstrably hyperbolic.
@@RudCh01 correction she was shooting 15ppg durning the sec tournament and upped it to 20ppg during the ncaa tournament, also she was shooting at a 49% (sec) and a 58% (ncaa) while averaging 7 rebounds 2 blocks and 2 steals and getting said blocks and steals during the most crucial points of the game which saved LSU in both tournaments. And her stats are even better this year hence why she was one of the names for preseason Sec player of the year!
Juju isn’t a point guard but I feel that she will average more assists due to the fact she has more offensive skilled players to score off her passes. Ju will be more efficient and will increase her percentage and setting records.
Somewhere after Madison Booker who beat Audi for Big 12 POY, Freshman OY, Tournament MOP and won the Cheryl Miller Award as the best small forward in the country but somehow didn’t crack the Top 10. Love Fulweily’s game but a non-starter can’t make the Top 10 with all the great players in women’s college basketball.
Good list. I do think you have both Lee and Betts too high. Ayoka looks great in a vacuum. She kinda got swallowed up by Colorado on the inside last season. Kinda moves like a big girl instead of a grown woman. Same with Betts. Imagine what Iriafen or Morrow would do with that height... I don't know where you'd put her, but Madison Booker is notably absent in this top 10. With Sonia Citron mining back to her natural position, she could put her name in this hat. Janiah Barker has not quite demonstrated she should be her yet. Sedona Prince, if healthy, will surpass birth Betts and Lee - Beers too. Anyway, great job. Dawn would have 3 championships in a row if she would not have messed around in 2022-23 & gotten Raven more minutes as well as Cardoso in the starting line up. In 2024-25 will Fulwiley and Tessa Johnson get more minutes than Paopao & Bree Hall. If she wants another chip then she will need to make that hard choice as Cardoso not around to clean up their defence

That label prempty into tournament play when Aaliyah Boston was charge with early fouls which intimidated coach Dawn and team. It was easy to conclude Caitlyn Clark cinderella team was destined to win, except Angel Reese and LSU took fate into their own hands and end that nonsense. Hence Angel Reese became social/main media created, manturfacture, fabricated villain.
