1) Instead of immediately returning the toilet brush back to the holder, leave it in the bowl and close the seat/lid. The brush will be lifted out of the water and can then drip dry. 2) Flushing the toilet with the lid up allows microscopic bits of nasty to be sprayed everywhere, including right into your face. 3) Sink drains have more germs than toilet seats - wipe the sink stopper last. 4) Charity thrift shops do not want any items, especially clothing/fabric, that is not in like-new condition (torn, stained, holes, stretch out, pilled, faded, etc.). I cut them up and use as disposable rags.
I am so excited to have found your channel!! I have been a struggling fly baby for YEARS😬 I love Flylady, I actually live in the same town as Marla and go to the office to pick up supplies. I have health issues, struggles with depression and perfectionism thus my house has been in a state of CHAOS for years. After keeping a VERY clean and tidy house for 20 years and not having lived up to my own standards for the past 7 years, I feel like such a failure. I know the Flylady system works, I just haven't been able to get past the "do it all or die" mentality. I'm hoping your videos will give me what I need to make it work. 😊

Do you just washcloths or dishrags to clean your bathroom? Also I see you throw the rags in your washing machine. Do you wash the rags you use in your morning routine with the load of laundry you do each day? I have been using paper towels for my swish & swipe because I'm a little grossed out by using rags that won't be washed right away. Do you have any tips?

My mom broke her hip and I have been dividing my time between work, my family, and my Moma house. So I know how very precious every minute is. So I get what I can get done as fast as I can so I can have family time.
After you wipe the sink and go over to the toilet you might want to wipe the toilet seat off first because that's where people sit. Then continue cleaning the rest of the toilet
Anne Lopez is so the handle, top and lid first. Then the seat. Then the nastiest part under the lid. Otherwise your transferring stuff from where people sit to the handle.
I admit it. It’s so gross, but I can’t tell you how many times in my life I’ve had the stomach bug and had to hang my head in a dirty toilet with dried pee and poop splashes 💀. No more tho ! My bathroom is always company ready now! Thank you FlyLady Kat!!!

My tip: use a trash can to throw up in- that way your head is never that close to a toilet.
