Oh, and did you recognize the droid at 9:01? Yes, that's the one from Episode 4, whose motivator exploded after Uncle Owen bought it. Peli Motto repaired it. A lot of easter eggs in this episode. ^^
The cryogenic density combustion booster was the item that Luke & Han solo used to brace the trash compactor while it was crushing them after they went down the garbage chute.
13:13 It's not really anyones ship. However, it's the same model Anakin flew in the battle of Naboo way back in Episode I: A Phantom Menace. also, the route Din takes test flying goes through the podrace track from that same movie. (13:59 awesome, right?!) This made my nerdy heart so happy! Oddly, the gate Anakin smashed through during the race hasn't been repaired in some odd 40 years. 15:13 weirdly we don't. That was one of the biggest gripes of the critics, seeing as the show is named after the character that doesn't show up in the episode...
9:08 This red astro-mech droid is the same one the Jawas sold to Luke's uncle and blew his top. They even kept the burn marks and oil stain on the top of the droid.
As someone mentioned, actor Tait Fletcher is in Paz Vizsla’s armor, while Jon Favreau provides the voice. Tait Fletcher is a very imposing figure. He was the thug picking a fight with Mando in episode one. He often plays a heavy. He fought Keanu Reeves in John Wick, Ben Affleck in The Accountant, and Denzel Washington in The Equalizer. The’ Armourer’s voice is the stunning actress Emily Swallow. She was best known for playing God’s sister in the series Supernatural. Like Katee Sackhoff, Emily is too beautiful to be hidden by a Mandalorian helmet. She attends conventions and charity events in full Armourer armour. It was fun seeing her interact with someone in the Darth Vader armor.
Great episode! Can’t wait to watch your reaction to the next episode! You’re gonna lose your mind! One of the best episodes of any Star Wars series, ever! Don’t make us wait please! 🙂
Besides Pedro Pascal, there are two stuntmen playing the Mandalorian, Lateef Crowder and Brendan Wayne. Brendan ist the grandson of Western movie legend John Wayne. Kinda fitting that he portrays a Scifi wild west bounty hunter. ^^
The N1, flying through the same area Anakin raced in, flying directly up almost exactly where Anakin did during the race, spinning, saying "wizard". The callbacks! 😭😭
He earned his jetpack. The Armorer gave it to him at the end of season one. The person in the suit when it's not Pedro is Brendan Wayne, grandson of John Wayne. He was just a special guest at my local comic shop on May the 4th for Star Wars Day/Free Comic Book Day.
The droid you called cute is a BD unit. It's similar to the one that accompanies Jedi Cal Kestis in the Star Wars: Jedi games. The one in the games is called BD-1. The games are canon to the Star Wars universe and rumor has it we will see a live version of Cal Kestis in a future series.
This is my joint favourite episode with Din in it, alongside 'The Believer' from Season 2. You did make me laugh, saying, "Is he dead", after Din cutting the guy in two 🤣 that scene shocked many fans. The N1 is similar to the one Anakin rode, but it isn't the same one. There is a code on the ship, and someone compared the two. I love the N1, I never thought I'd say that about any ship for Din after the beloved Razor Crest. They choose well, and it has the RC paint job. People are always saying there is nowhere to sleep, but I never heard anyone say the same about Luke or anyone else with a starfighter 😁
Since you've already watched Ahsoka, Spoilers for Ahsoka As far as I can deduce and as we were told, I think Sabine's parents and brother died offscreen in that flashback bombing, "The Night of a Thousand Tears". So sad considering that episode of Rebels where briefly she and we as an audience thought they died.
The big Mandalorian that fights Mando Paz Viszla is played by Jon Favreau the creator of the show. Viszla's relative/clansman was the guy you saw in the clone wars that led Death Watch, who was eventually killed by Maul.
OK. It's the same ship that Anakin flew. The canyon is where Anakin did his pod racing. It's also where Luke learned to fly & shot womprats. Yeah it's definitely a teary eyed throwback...
Great reaction yes you know that Naboo fighter from somewhere try to episode one the Phantom Menace it’s Anakin fighter. I don’t know how she got it but there it is I know man got it and so funny that he said wizard when she said I’ve asked because that’s what And used to say when he was little when he was racing and when he flew and then I fighter you say it’s wizard really fast and cool kids on tattooween say thanks for the fun until next time
@thatnerdtara we all wish he will be some day. Awesome character. Awesome actor used for voice and motion capture in the game. Such great potential for live action.
@@thatnerdtara Not yet, but he's coming. Star Killer is a whole new level of the game. He can beat Vader. He has not been made Disney canon yet. Kal Kestis is. You should watch the cut scene movie for StarKiller. It's awesome. He's a beast.
I had very mixed feelings about this episode. It's great to see Mando again and what he's been up to since letting Grogu go, but this show is called "The Book of Boba Fett". The focus is supposed to be on Boba Fett, but he's not even in it! Also, Mando being kicked out of the Mandalorians is a big deal and should really happen on his own show. If a fan of that show skipped this one, they might be kind of confused.
The Lord of the Rings is Sauron. That is his title. The focus in those films is rarely on Sauron. This episode is a chapter. Many many many books throughout history have chapters which don't feature it's title character. The focus isn't "SUPPOSED TO!" to be on anything. It's a story about Boba and the characters he interacts with. This complaint needs to rest, because it just makes NO SENSE. And it's JUST SO PETTY. I will NEVER understand people telling others what to dislike.
@@Pinkielover Actually I *have* been watching that. I watch an episode when I run on a treadmill. Even episodes focusing on Asaj Ventriss or Jedi younglings take place DURING the Clone Wars. That show was more of an ensemble, anyway. BOBF, however, clearly has a lead character. Yes, sometimes the focus is on someone else, but to omit him entirely? Especially since this is already a very short series with only 7 episodes.
Since when are we required to like all characters equally to enjoy a series? That's like saying "not a good sign that the best episodes of Rebels are the ones with Ahsoka".
@@YodatheHobbit you miss the point entirely. The show is called the Book of Boba Fett. Yet the best episode doesn't have Boba Fett. For your analogy to be correct, it would be a problem if the best episode of Rebels had Ashoka but didn't have Hera, Ezra, Chopper, Kanan, etc. If it was a Rebels episode without Rebels.
Oh, and did you recognize the droid at 9:01? Yes, that's the one from Episode 4, whose motivator exploded after Uncle Owen bought it. Peli Motto repaired it. A lot of easter eggs in this episode. ^^
The sight of Din taking "public transportation " is always hilarious
That scene with him removing his weapons was way too funny 😂
@@thatnerdtara also Pelli is hilarious too
The cryogenic density combustion booster was the item that Luke & Han solo used to brace the trash compactor while it was crushing them after they went down the garbage chute.
The easter egg in the scene of him testing his ship, he passes right by the exit ramp that is still broken from Anakin Skywalker's race in Episode 1.
Oddly still broken after some 40 years...
Person in the actual costume is Brendan Wayne, grandson of the great John Wayne 🤠
13:13 It's not really anyones ship. However, it's the same model Anakin flew in the battle of Naboo way back in Episode I: A Phantom Menace.

John Wayne's grandson, Brendan Wayne is who is in the suit most of the time and gives mando his gunslinger swagger
One of the actors in the suit is John Wayne’s grandson. Hence the great cowboy walk. I think that’s awesome
The bundle the armorer gave Mando to give to Grogu was tied in the shape of Grogus head.
Wizard!
Great episode!

Episode 1 nostalgia is heavy, and I love it.
@@davidbergfors6820 me too. It was surreal seeing that area again.
This was our first look at Mandalore's capital Sundari in live action and I was SO excited.
The N1 is the same type of ship in Episode I that Anakin flew.

A theory that circulated was that Disney wanted Grogu back so the Din episodes on BoBF were added...

I believe that's the Naboo Starfighter that Anakin flew in when he destroyed the Federation command ship
Just like the speeder that the Marshall has on Tatooine is part of Anakin's podracer
The big Mandalorian that fights Mando Paz Viszla is played by Jon Favreau the creator of the show. Viszla's relative/clansman was the guy you saw in the clone wars that led Death Watch, who was eventually killed by Maul.
Pre Viszla
That was Favreau??? No way!
This is most likely Tait Fletcher playing Paz, he took over wearing the suit. The same guy who told Din he spilt his drink in S01E01.
@thatnerdtara Yes ma'am. That's Favreaus character. His voice he's in the suit.
If memory serves Brendan Wayne(John Wayne's grandson) is in the suit most of the time
The Naboo Starfighter could be anyones but if you like you can think it was little Ani's N-1, it won't hurt if we think it was 😊.

Little Anakin flew one of those
You see that Mando is warming up to droids after the assasin/nurse droid saved him.
Good reaction 💯
He got the jet pack from the armorer when he was escaping with Grogu in the finale of season 1 of Mando. He did not steal it.
The best episode of the series is next! 😄
