    Great video, fewer rounds is a no-start.

    Thanks again for your work. I would say the biggest downfall of that particular pistol is the four rounds.

    With that crony you have to back up a little more. The co2 blast will miss with the reading. Also you have to reset the crony after a Err ready, it may get stuck

    Nice video. I would have like to get your final comparison decision. You said this one is not of your top 5 but which one would be in this trop 5 now? Thank you.

      Hehe Brother, that is a constantly moving needle. The industry has blown up and we are getting new offerings all the time. It really just depends on your use or needs.

    Thanks for the review. I think I will be passing on this one. Have you tried the 50 or the 68 cal Paintball Gun Ball Maker to make your own balls? I`ve seen few videos on them. It might be cheaper them buying the balls and slugs all the time.

      Greetings! I have indeed (for the shotgun). Those things will fire, pretty much, anything you can get in the chamber. I am in the process of making the .43 cal pepperballs atm. It’s very slow and tedious work :-)

    🤔Hmmmm... I can see why it’s not in the top 5. I like the size, but 4 capacity and using the harder to find 8g cartridges seems like a no-go. Thanks for the reviews, I’m really enjoying your channel since I subbed!

    Such a cute little bugger. I really wanted it to be good. Mine is red. The mag got stuck permanetly. tried to fix , no go. You know there's a power screw on the back? but turned up all the way it's only 6 joules

    • @AlternateArmsSD
      @AlternateArmsSD  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah, it was the most impressive and it certainly feels “cheap“. I think, if I were to grab one out of my case to defend myself with, this might be the last one I would select :) perhaps it can be modded, we shall see :-)

      The Byrna is absolutely fantastic. You might notice, I’m actually carrying the Byrna on my right hip. I alternate between that and the Glock 17 in the last video. The truth is, they’re both fantastic. Thank you so much for watching!

    I personally do not like the look of the G lock 17, I held a real steel h&k vp9 today which felt good but didn't love the mag release. Trying to decide the M&P vs the VP9 from umarex but would like to see a real comparison compared to the byrna. Byrna looks bigger than they are letting on, especially compared to a 1:1 scale umarex t4e.

    • @AlternateArmsSD
      @AlternateArmsSD  2 роки тому +2

      The Byrna is larger (and lighter) than both of them. I’d be glad to set up a “best of” video on each caliber of you’d like :) Have a great night!

      I'll tell you what I've noticed about the m&p.. I just got one and I'm slightly disappointed. The trigger is terrible. It is a super heavy pull. The mag release needs to be pressed to put the mag IN(for some reason, it interferes with the mag going in. Not sure if that's just a flaw with mine though) I kind of like my cheap HDP50 better, it feels more powerful and sounds better. But the thing does look great. The slide lock is kind of silly, it locks like 1 inch back. It looks more like an out of battery than an empty mag, but I think they all do that. I really don't want to talk you out of it, because they all might be that way. I don't know yet. I've only got the hdp50 and the m&p 2.0... I think I'm going to get the TPM1(imitation glock) and see if they all feel like my m&p. I need to do it soon so I can return my m&p plus extra mag if it's just a lemon... It has fired well and the co2 seems like it would last pretty long. I did 4 mags before degassing and was surprised how much gas came out. It also did a nice "group"(one single hole) at self defense range of approx 7 feet..

      @@AlternateArmsSD that's great! The byrna is the only .68 I could find that looks less like a toy. Revolvers are not something I would carry so the only .50 I could find is the one t4e training launcher,
      .43 has lots of options I've found but a comparison showing the what makes each one the choice over the others would be nice.

      @@erict3728 good day sir. I finally broke down and bought a ppq43 a few days ago. I have limited experience with semi-autos I always carried a Smith & Wesson 19 or a 41 revolver. Having said that I had read a lot about these before deciding to get one. The consensus was the ppq43 was the best not getting into comparing it to the new glock gen 5. The PPQ from what I understand was the first of these 43 caliber pistols. I read it was the most reliable and had the best trigger. I shot mine for the first time today using the only rounds I have The solid aluminum balls from riot balls. They're listed as Weighing approximately 1.9 grams not grain so they're reasonably heavy. I fired approximately 40 of these through it and then the released the gas from the cartridge slowly, not much came out. The build quality seems good I had no misfires and I had read that these particular riot balls made of solid aluminum cycle quite well through these 43 caliber pistols. I would say they pack a good punch close quarters using these particular aluminum rounds. Also, before firing these I put in the spring labeled rubber balls as these are actually heavier than those. It's interesting the trigger squeeze I think is basically like a revolver as it I believe feeds the ball in however since I was so used to my Smith & Wesson it felt vaguely familiar and I actually found the point at which I could stop and then squeeze. As I'm sure everybody knows these are not a replacement to firearms they're just another avenue to possibly protect one's self . I had read the Smith & Wesson 43 caliber had trigger problems in terms of it being heavy to pull through and an inheritant problem with the magazine release button breaking. I might suggest that you depress the magazine button every time you insert the magazine and then release that just before pushing it up the final quarter of an inch in. I tested that on the PPQ and it was quite effective I believe it takes some stress off these pistols. Jon does a good job here a lot of time and money is involved and I certainly appreciate it. Also, if anybody is interested Hogue manufacturers different grip sleeves for pistols. These are not the stick-on kind they may make those as well these are the ones that you slide on with a fair amount of force and get into place. The one that fits the ppq43 is item number 17600 it is shown to be a precise fit for the sig Sauer p320 full size. It also is supposed to fit quite well the ppq43 as well as the actual firearm. These are somewhere around $12 plus shipping. Also, T a l o n and likely others make grips that are self-adhesive. I hope you have a good night.
