My son just started his freshman at Case and we live in Taiwan never been to Cleveland. Thanks for your videos so much as they at least give me some feelings of the city
Wow, I am definitely going to Little Italy to see that park and Rocky statue! I didn't realize Cleveland had so many different parks and places to see.
I bet; between this and the Flats, I really need to catch these areas when they're hopping! For now I'm just squeezing in the times when I have a second of free time, lol
Awesome! It's always cool to capture someone's place (unintentionally). When I watch other's videos of places I have been, I always watch eagerly, wondering if they'll pass by the same streets/shops that I did when I was there.
Wow, I really need to walk that area with you. Cleveland is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing such an awesome video. You do an amazing job of filming stuff. The murals are beautiful, too. Let me know when you're ready to do some touring together. I really need another trip to Cleveland soon. Have a very blessed day.
It is RTA's Red Line that goes through Little Italy. Actually, there's a lot more of Little Italy than Mayfield Road. Over the years, we've gone to several restaurants on Murray Hill Rd. when we visit Cleveland. That street is actually longer than Mayfield within the Little Italy confines & there are numerous narrow streets with neighborhood houses in Little Italy. We've eaten at Trattoria & it was very good. It was featured on the Food Network several years ago. I was surprised the crowds weren't bigger because it's been lots of foot traffic both day & night when we've been there; especially if it's a sunny day. I've been to all 50 states & overseas & Cleveland is one of my favorite cities.
That's awesome that you're so well-traveled! I hope I'm fortunate enough to see every state some day. I count 11 states so far that I've done at least something besides an airport layover in. Thanks for the tidbits on Little Italy. Yes, I definitely need to go back and do a more extensive tour to include Murray Hill Road, and some neighborhood houses as well, kind of like I did when I visited "The Hill" neighborhood in St. Louis. 🇮🇹
Hey, Poko Traveler! I enjoyed the tour of Little Italy and the knowledge that you gave us. 😀You're soo cool! 😏 I know it sucked for a couple of the places you wanted to go in was closed. But I know you got us on a tour whenever you go back and they're actually open..😁 And glad you really new lunch spot you tried out. It's always a plus to find a new good spot to eat at and enjoy it. Thanks for sharing with us.
Indeed! The visit gave me more motivation for getting out to cover some other East Side areas too. I saw pictures of the Feast of Assumption this past weekend too, and it was another great crowd for Little Italy. 🇮🇹
Great tour. Good to see you checking out the east side sights. I was thinking you might return on the rapid instead of taking the bus. Perhaps you were heading back to work instead of home.
Yes, I took the Healthline back to work Downtown since I was on a late lunch break 😊 Looking forward to doing Lakeview Cemetery later in August or September; and some other things that'll be fresh to explore for me!
Great tour! There was a place I think on Mayfield Road known as the "Card Club". Not sure the exact address. Cleveland mobsters hung out there as well as out of town mob guys.
I haven't done a video in Collinwood yet. Looking at Google Maps, I could see myself doing a video of Euclid Beach Park; that's also the only "Cleveland Script Sign" that I haven't seen yet. I'll have to look up whether there's a notable street or two to safely walk in the neighborhood too.
Looking at Google Maps, there is a nice-looking neighborhood grocery store called Murray Hill Market that is a couple blocks away from the area I walked.
@@PokoTravelerI wouldn’t call that a grocery store. They sell a little bit of grocery items but it’s extremely small it’s more of a specialty store than a grocery store.
Poko Traveler - stop pointing at things. You may insult viewers because the "pointing" suggests that they are too blind or stupid to notice what is plainly on the screen. I lived in East Cleveland and went to school at Superior Elementary, Kirk Jr. High and Shaw High. I find seeing your hand detracts from the pleasure of watching your videos.
Hi Eric -- based on your last sentence, it sounds like you do enjoy the videos, aside from that criticism. I always appreciate feedback, so thanks for letting me know from your perspective. I shot this video a year ago, so hopefully I've done some less pointing in more recent videos, haha.
Wow - interesting. Looks clean and safe, with pleasant music and shops. Thank you for helping me explore.
I was lived in little Italy six years ago, still miss those good days. This video bring me back again, thanks ❤

That's awesome, I love that my Cleveland videos help paint a picture of the city your son is in now!
I live in Taiwan, and I am going to this beautiful city. Thanks for you two ^~^

Cool post of Little Italy. On holidays this is hopping .
Thanks for the tour

You caught my son's apartment building across from the baseball statue, thanks for the cool video!

Thank you for the tour.! We have been wondering about visiting this part of Cleveland and will definitely put it on our list.
Yes, it'd be a nice place to see! Afterwords, I also learned that Murray Hill Road also has some spaced out establishments.
Thank you. I really enjoyed this tour.
i had some business at the Cleveland Clinic years ago, and had a few hours to kill. I wandered over here and it was a joy.
Great video, thank you.

Thanks for the tour. I also hear good and bad things about North Collinwood area. Do you happen to have a tour in that neighborhood?

Barbershop back rooms are always open for business--allegedly 😎😉

@@PokoTraveler thanks for replying. I appreciate your considering my suggestions. I need to watch the videos you have taken more recently.
Nice job. Much more action late afternoon, evenings, and weekends, though. Also, as someone else pointed out, Murray Hill is worth exploring, too.
I had the best meal of my life. That didnt involve steak and guarino's
