A nursing student that passed biochemistry with a high grade by watching your videos and now heading to pharmacology and trying to make sense how pharmaceuticals work. You are A+ professor. Watching from Portugal 😊😊
I'm not a medical professional or student, but I watch all of these online lectures. My doctor is impressed with how much knowledge I have of psychopharmacology and neurology. Thank you!
Paying thousands of dollars for tuition to not learn anything. Sitting in lecture calm and collected knowing ninja nerd got me and will have a topic on this. Thank you so much for all you do! Saving me in my pharm, patho and anatomy class!
Is it weird that I’ve watched almost a hundred hours of your videos and I’m not even in school right now? Coming from a background in Chemical Engineering - biochemistry and anatomy is so important to me as an athlete trying to make it to the National Level of distance running.
As a medical student I am extremely grateful for your videos! You have such an amazing lecture skill. English is not my first language but you make contets much more understandable than if they were teached in portuguese ahah thank youuu
Love your videos. I’m an software engineering manager and sometimes I wish I had followed my dream of going to medical school to become a pathologist. This channel gives me my fix.
Oh my gosh. You're the BEST! I have literally cast my Pharmacology book aside and used your videos instead. My comprehension is SO much better thanks to your explanations! I agree with the comment below- the world does need more teachers like you!!!
I was recently prescribe METROPLOL which gave me some weird side affects. At 81, I could describe them, but the doctors could tell me why. God bless your dedication and hard work.❤😊😊
I can’t put it in words how these lectures are helping me I just started Pharmacology and you released this video a week before my class now before I go to class I watch your pharmacology lectures when I’m in class it’s just revision for me and that makes it so easy. Thank you NN
Thank you so much, prof. I'm grateful I got you. You've made life in Med school so smooth for me. Some slight correction; At 39:24 I think it should be 'Pupal constriction' as you had said earlier but you wrote "Dilation of pupil" or maybe I didn't get it clearly. thank you
Thank you so much for teaching so well! As an old medical student, my brain is just slower than a lot of my classmates. You break it down so it's easy to understand. You're helping me get through it!! As an aside - I am obsessed with the clacking sound your marker caps make.
May Almighty give you more patience... It feels great when i can understand the questions.. I was struggling for a long time but certainly my knowledge is improved at a great length after your class ❤❤❤❤.
hours of reading textbooks flooded me with so much information that it ended up becoming more and more difficult to understand. This cleared it up so well. Thank you so much.
You know what I was about to loss hope about pharmacy I used to watch your video's in my PC 1 year and I didn't suspect u would also have videos on pharmacology and when I see it I sayed ohhhh God thank u .........respect👏👏👏🙏
at 40:00 you mentioned how these medications can "dilate the pupil" to help open angle glaucoma. I thought cholinergic agents (pilocarpine) cause constriction of the pupil (miosis). I think you drew it out right but you wrote it incorrectly. Otherwise, awesome video! TY
Keep up the amazing work, you are seriously doing Gods work with this. All of you putting in the work for the fantastic videos, notes and illustrations...I will be a member forever.
last year during my first year of med school i watched ur vids for biochemistry and it helped me clear my concepts so well and I ALSO SCORED A DISTINCTION ,, thank you so much i owe u everything 🙏
Hello, I think I might have encountered an error in the video? When you were mentioning the effects of muscarinic agonists (eg. pilocarpine/carbachol) on pupillary size around 39:25, wouldn't pupillary dilation cause further compression of the canal of Schlemm? I think you verbalized it correctly first then said it differently/wrote it down as muscarinic agonists dilate the pupils and helps to decrease intraocular pressure (when it should be pupillary constriction). Forgive me if I'm wrong!
This is a very good video. Repeating basics and going on to how deep autonomic functions work through all sorts of other tracts and systems! I love it.
Great Presentation! Thanks so much for sharing it with us. However, I need clarification about the drainage through the canal of Schlemm. Isn't it that the muscarinic receptors present on the ciliary muscle, activation of which opens the hole size of the trabecular meshwork and allows for better drainage?
Cevimeline (trade name Evoxac) is a synthetic analog of the natural alkaloid muscarine with a particular agonistic effect on M1 and M3 receptors. It is used in the treatment of dry mouth and Sjögren's syndrome.
I'm sorry... but "chocolate rain flooding from their Hershey Highway" is one of the best lines I've ever heard. I will be using this on my next code brown. signed, a nurse who loves some humor
5 years of medical school didn't clear my concepts but you did it in 1 hour. Marvelous.. Bless you

Yes , it would be dilation of canal of Schlemm and construction of pupil
yes
