This is a great video for people who are asking all sorts of questions about DE. I hope this will address things I missed here ua-cam.com/video/hdJ0dpvdevA/v-deo.htmlsi=9pnE92PbQNWWyOfA
Cimexa worked for me better than anything else BUT I did so recklessly and the dust stayed in my bedroom air for about 2 days and I had bad lung problems for a few weeks at least. This was before i got pets.
Wish I seen this video sooner as it was recommended. I placed some food grade/ pest grade amorphous diatomaceous earth on my carpet. Like a very small amount 10cm long, what's the best way to get rid of it? Like a damp cloth then hoover the remains? How do I get it out of the air. Thank you. Pretty scared right now
Very glad I am subscribed. I am slowly getting rid of fleas, and somebody told me to us DE. I wasn't sure about it, but you just so happened to post this video. Thank you. Very informative
Off subject question- what if I heard scratching in an upstairs bedroom ceiling at around 1:00 am. Have not heard it since in a week. Have not seen any mice in home or kitchen or droppings in living area. Called a critter control company. Could not find any entry point of mice. Put poison cubes ? In attic and crawl space. Said saw some mouse droppings in attic and crawl space but couldn’t tell if old or not. What would you do? Shouldn’t someone be able to see if there is a way mice are coming in? Very unsettling. Plus I never heard the noise again so far.
Do you have any over hanging trees on your structure/home? Check for areas of entrance, even gaps in the corners of eaves and soffits. You said mice poop in the attic. Are you certain it's a mouse. Bat droppings can look like mice droppings to the untrained eye.
How can I stop random spiders and ear wigs from getting in in the fall ? I found 8 ear wigs the last few weeks, and several spiders, a big one i think was a barn funnel weaver crawling across the couch last night.
I bought some diatomaceous earth and was going to use it to treat bed bugs in my condo (actually, I did use just a little bit in a small area in my bedroom but couldn't figure out how to apply it properly). Then I saw your video just now and thinking maybe not such a good idea! Do you think I need to have a pest control company come in (I know it's going to be very expensive), or do you think there's some way I can treat my condo myself, if so, what do you recommend? How can I view your live stream on Thursday evening?
May have been exposed to bed bugs on vacation and I did not do everything when I came home perfectly to prevent a possible hitchhiker from coming in. Is there anything I can do to monitor and catch it early if the worst occurs? I bought some of the interceptors for the bottom of my bed posts but I saw in another video of yours that they don't work
My exterminator used the Alpine aerosol for the bed bugs all over my house. Does it have DE in it? I’m freaking out I have a baby….. this is terrible PLS LET ME KNOW ASAP. & if it does how to I remove it from my house.
My big thing is gnats aka noseeums and the females bite. The silver fish are annoying too but my gripe mostly is the lil tiny buggers. I have sticky film on random places in my apartment. I'm catching em but don't know where they're coming in. The sticky films are also placed on the inside of my windows, the hallway and downstairs overhead ceiling. The film is working but I wish my landlord would stop over watering her plants downstairs. Her house is older, overhead gutters have not been cleared out from debris in a number of years now. I'm sure that's not helping the situation. Can't alway's hire a pest control expert if you have a landlord that doesn't give a crap.
If you inhale large amount it will definitely harm you and I am sure no one would be insane to inhale huge amount and cause huge damage to his/her health
The problem is when people use it all over their bed to kill bed bugs and then they actually do inhale large amounts of it at night when they sleep. That’s where most cases of silicosis are stemming from now
I have question about food garde DE. A pest control guy recommended me to mix the powder with water and spray it all around inside the house to control and kill german roaches. What's your thought and recommendation on this? Does it work?
If you get a dust wet it won’t work while wet. DE is a little different though because it isn’t really a pesticide. As long as it’s in a crack where it can’t become airborne it’s safer
@@GreenAkersPC Thanks for such a quick response. What bait do you recommend to use inside kitchen cabinets? I read a lot about gel baits but unfortunately I am unable to find them here in Canada.
Ive got it everywhere. Im scared now . Ive had it everywhere for a while but im not noticing any coughing or anything. But now im scared. Just one more thing now to be paranoid about. I cant win 😢 my nerves are shot 😢
@@GreenAkersPCIs that the one in the yellow container? I live in Kentucky and have seen it at my local Walmart. Don't have a current bedbug infestation but had one back in 2014 and didn't have home internet at the time so couldn't do much research except at the local library. Ended up getting rid of my old waterbed wooden frame (was using a regular mattress) and buying a spray called "BEDLAM" I read about in an article that worked very well. I also read that mixing 90% alcohol and water and spraying it on the spots where bedbugs have been spotted would also work and it sure did for me. To this day, I have remained bedbug free so far, although a couple weeks ago, I noticed 2 itchy pots on my left forearm and 1 in the back of the elbow and was worried it could be bedbugs again but they went away. Nevertheless, I decided to start researching about bedbugs here on YT and found your channel (subscribed) so I could be prepared in case I get them again since I live in an apt bldg.
I know you are saying these things for job preservation, but please stop spreading misinformation. If what you say was true, the medical community would be saying this...and not someone like you. Furthermore, the would be governmental warnings on the packaging. I didn't watch your video, but I don't watch clickbaiting misinformation, nor do I want to add you your view count.
Did you know that leaving a comment does the same as watching the video? It’s considered engaging content to UA-cam. In this video I actually quote a medical doctor so….yeah you should watch before judging a book by it’s cover
@@GreenAkersPC You know what would be even better than an anecdotal quote from a doctor (who?) would be a link to actual research at the NIH or similarly reputable institution. Just by the very nature of your business, there is an inherent bias and no amount of "just trust me" is going to ameliorate that tension. Speak with evidence to back it up. As you mentioned with pesticides, the dose makes the poison. Does the minimal amount of DE, crystalline or amorphous, really cause silicosis anymore than, say, just walking outside and breathing in dust during a stiff breeze?
The great thing about UA-cam is the ability to search a Creators page for videos that contain the title or keyword "Diatomaceous Earth" for example. I have actually quoted all my sources before. If you don't care about your health continue to believe whatever you want. I gain nothing at all by this video, just trying to help those who want help.
Riiiiiight....Just like the government and doctors who pushed the clot shot and their misinformation which was founded on fabricated data....all for our best interest 😂

Not a doctor but what you described DE doing to your lungs sounds like what asbestos does.
I don’t believe it’s as bad as asbestos but it is causing a lot of people to end up hospitalized
I spread the DT all pver my bed now I’m wondering how can I completely get rid of the dust?
Vacuum with HEPA filter
A mini vac works great

You can’t always find where mice enter. They only need 1/4 inch hole to come inside

How toxic is tempo 1% dust? And can it be cleaned up with soap and water? I had it sprayed in my house and now having an allergic reaction.
I don’t recommend anyone use any pesticide dust because of risks like this. It cleans up with soap and water.
