- Finally unlocked my first set of unassisted muscle ups.
I tried so many ways to finally get it
But using the bands and progressing through them is what finally helped me unlock muscle ups unassisted.
I’ve seen so many UA-camrs show their tricks on how to do it.
But none of them worked for me and I’m able to do sets of 10 strict pull ups.
The way that has worked for me is using the bands is what helped me. It legit took me over 8 weeks to finally get it down.

thanks for uploading this, im also tall (6,3) im gonna give this a try! never tried it this way
I struggled with pull ups in the past and I spent weeks trying the different styles and kipping/swinging to try and get a muscle up.
Using the bands helped me. Once I could get 5 in a row with a band I would progress to another band and work on it.
It’s the only thing that worked for me. Took a bit longer than what others say on other videos, but I do think it’s because of length on guys like us….there is a reason all elite gymnasts are tiny stocky guys and you never see gymnasts tall and lanky 😂
