- This episode of The Last of Us has me completely heartbroken. I have cried for days since watching this. It was such a beautiful episode but I hate the writers for breaking me like this! I apologize in advanced for the snot-faced ugly crying in this reaction. I really did TRY to stay composed.
I don't understand why someone WOULDN'T do this for a partner. It's the ultimate act of love to let your loved one go on their own terms instead of having a horrible suffering death.
I understand it. And if my partner were the only person I had in this world I would've made the same decision Bill did in the end. We would go together.
This was first time in my 45 years on this planet when I cried because of a hole in the ground.
Oh lord, that broke me! I felt silly for crying harder when it showed the hole, but now I don't feel so bad 😂
@@ambybambiboo 😂 yeah, don't feel bad, that freaking hole broke most of us 🥲
First time in my life i considered digging a hole in the ground
My second time in 51 years, but I stepped in the other hole and almost broke my ankle.
Thank you for sharing your vulnerability with us while watching this. Can't wait to see more of your reactions!
Thank you. I am a big crybaby when it comes to certain things, but if y'all were in the room with me I wouldnt be comfortable crying 😂
Great reaction! 👍 Despite being different from the game, it greatly expanded on Bill and Frank's story. It was like a mini movie. Still one of my favorite episodes in the series.
It was a beautiful episode. I think they made a good decision for Bill's character
Great reaction Amber!
The series deserves many awards for many different things, but it deserves to win multiple awards for this episode alone. While most of the episodes follow the plot of the game, this episode is entirely new content that was written specifically for the series. In my opinion, it's the best episode of the series and should win an award for the writing alone. Then you have the acting which was just incredible. You basically have two actors carrying an entire episode for more than an hour without being able to rely on the typical stuff like special effects or big action scenes to keep the audience interested, yet it's one of the most compelling episodes of TV I've ever seen.
Can't wait to see your reaction to the rest of the series!
It definitely deserves an award. It was able to make me cry for literal days over characters I just met. Everyone involved in this episode deserves recognition for that alone.
One of the best episodes of a tv show I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen it so many times already and it hits every single time.
It's a perfect episode in my opinion.
It's a tragic episode but upon reflection I felt good that they met each other and spent many happy years together in a dangerous and unpredictable world. I agree that the writing was exceptional to make you care about two characters who you have only just met!
Yes, it was very bittersweet. And I love the fact it wasn't a violent end for them. They had a loving and healthy relationship until the end. It was so beautiful which was why it was so heartbreaking for me.
This episode absolutely crushed me, and yet I'm hooked on watching reactions to it and getting crushed over and over again!
Thank you for your reaction :)
I view this episode as an example of how good things, happy things, can still happen in the post-outbreak world of the show. Yes, we're sad to see Bill and Frank go, but they honestly got as close to a "happy ending" as anyone in their world could hope for: they got to live many years in a safe and beautiful place, and then got to go out painlessly, lovingly, together, at a time of their own choosing. So at the end of the day, I feel like their story isn't a tragedy - it's just a glimpse of what might be possible for Joel or Ellie if they play their cards right. It gives us permission to hope.
I love the fact they got to go peacefully together in the end. If I was in Bill's shoes I would have made the same decision. It was a beautiful love story.
Terrific reaction. Get used to the heartbreak, there's so much more to come.
Thank you. And lovely. I guess I have to get used to ugly crying on camera 😂
Love your reaction. I would love to know about you and your daughters conversation after you viewed this.
Thank you. We talked about our love for the characters and how it broke our hearts when they get married just to go out right after. But it was one of the best episodes of tv. If you can make me cry like that over characters I just met, then you're doing something right.
In "Long, Long Time," Linda Ronstadt sings of "blinking back the tears," but the tears flowed here. I appreciate your reaction, Ambybambiboo.
Thank you. It was a beautiful episode.
The color of your hair is the exact color I want to paint my car🔥
keep going on the vids, your doing great!
Thank you so much!
I sobbed, and I cried, and then I wiped away a tear. I wiped a tear away from your reaction too.
HUGE HUG
Together sharing our pain 😂
Amber, again, this was a truly wonderful react to what IMHO, is one of the best episodes ever.
Thank you so much. This episode is one of the best I've ever seen on tv. I think it's one of those you'll never be able to forget.
Never played the game but from what I have heard the changes they made are a big improvement, very sad and beautiful episode
It was so beautifully done. This episode should win awards imo.
There are very few changes from the game, this episode is the exception really, as you never get to see Frank in the game and their relationship is really only alluded to there. Other changes are the opposite of an improvement in my eyes but it's still a good show. In the end though it's pretty much exactly the same as the game, including how the actors act out the scenes and how they deliver their lines.
The writing in this show is simply amazing, this episode especially just was heart breaking. So well done by everyone involved.
One of the best episodes of tv I have ever seen in my 50 years.
Definitely one of those that you can never forget.
first time viewer, but I'm Texan and can hear your southern twang
Couldnt hide it if I wanted to 😂
It is what the game does also, you meet new people and then they are gone after getting to know them.
It broke my heart. It would be easier if they weren't likeable. Lol
A deep episode different from the game. Builds the world very well and establishes the relationship with Tess more. Best game to movie adaptation IMO.
It's nice to hear that fans of the game are loving the changes they've made in the show. I've never played but so far this show has been amazing.
@@ambybambiboo yeah some reactors who played the game are upset at some of the changes but if you only think of the show in terms of the game you're missing out. People had the same problem with the second game. Its just a good show game or not.
Agree - but totally amazing that they could make us fall in love with these characters and kill them off, all in under an hour...? Wow.
They love to emotionally torture us and yet we keep coming back for more. What does that say about us? haha
The funny thing is that this is the most upbeat episode! It's supposed to be happy and in a way it is. They had a pretty happy life with only a few times of danger and strife but the rest of it was happiness and love, they went out on their own terms. I don't think anyone can ask for more than that.
It was so bittersweet. I found myself smiling as much as crying during the episode. They really did a great job showing a loving relationship with people who grow old together.
they had the best ending. the lived a life together and loved each other and they went out on their own terms. in a world gone to hell, it's probably the best way to go
The asshole that I am, despite after 4yrs of being alone, I'd be like, "You'd better get to Boston quick before you starve to death", while still pointing the gun. I don't want someone adding to my "to do" list even now, so I know exactly how I'd be in that world.
You sound like my husband, honestly 😂
1st want to say it's ok to pour your heart out on this episode as the majority of people who'll watch this have been hunting down reactions to be there right beside you as we cried so much too.
It's been quite a few months as that episode or in fact that the series has ended for the 1st year. At the time of release of "Long Long Time" there were a few split ways the public took it on social media. At 1st, it was acclaimed to be a master piece ever since "Who shot JR" an old soap opera on television in the mid 80's.
Then of course with time the outspoken talked about the tough choices and dragged them to politics. And with time with any political unjustice upheaval it tends to die out. Now it's 6 months that this episode has come out. People who cried so hard who choose to search out reactors can sit back relax and go let's see in 10 years where JR and who shot him, or will it be Is it Joel who was the real bad guy who we've been following thinking he was the hero in the story.
I'll take that it was 4 months ago that you've reacted to Ep. 3 that we've come to the end of a 9 part series.
It's a masterpiece in my eyes. This will be an episode of television I'll remember forever.
I don't think I've seen a single person not cry at this episode. And the acting was phenomenal. And how the makeup team aged them and how the actors portrayed age, ugh. Bill wanted to survive. Frank wanted to live. They were perfect for each other.
Yes they were. It was such a sweet and realistic relationship
Keep it up 👍🏽
Thank you!
Honestly, your reaction was as heartbreaking to me as Bill and Frank's love.
I was so heartbroken 😭
So I take it that mom and daughters reactions weren't so different. Don't be sorry about crying. I cried during this and I've seen plenty of other men cry reacting to this episode. Just so emotional one of the best episode of tv I've ever seen. Besides a reaction video without emotions would just be boring.
I just don't want to overwhelm everyone with my cry face 😂 It was just too beautiful and heartbreaking to hold back the tears.
If its any consolation Im a 56yr old man whith a beautiful wife and I cried my eyes out seeing how much they loved each other.
It's a testament to how good the episode is!
I'm a senior, married gay man and I loved this beautiful and poignant episode and your sincere reaction. Frank(Bugs Bunny) and Bill(Elmer Fudd) find love during an apocalypse. ❤🌈
Thank you so much 😊 Bill and Frank had the type of love everyone wishes for.
OMG I just pictured Elmer pointing his gun at Bugs just like Bill & Frank and laughed!
@@fiveoctaves If only Frank's first line would have been, "Eh, what's up doc?" Did you notice: Bill pulls a carrot from his garden early in the episode; the first meal he prepares & serves to Frank has carrots; there is a drawing of a carrot hanging on the porch where Frank is painting; there is a drawing of a bunch of carrots above the couch where Bill is seated when Frank tells him his last day plans? I think the writers saw this similarity of Bugs & Elmer to Frank & Bill.
@@frankmahovlich5099 BAHAHAHAHA!!!! I did notice the painting but missed some of the others. It did seem there was a carrot theme but I didn't connect to Bugs & Elmer. There are always tons of unused takes so maybe there was a "What's up, doc" scene that we never got to see.
Destroyed…
Let me tell you, this ep had me crying. Watched it a second time with the gf and cried all over again
I'm more surprised if someone didn't cry watching this. It's so beautiful and heart wrenching.
It's a special episode
If Nick Offerman doesn't get an emmy for this there should be riots in the streets!
100% agree
❤Wonderful reaction.
At least they're predictable. It's the "normal" people that scare me.
