All of medicine is based on having one or more models of what constitutes healthy physiological function, and introducing methods to preserve, restore or mitigate-loss-of that function. Clinical trials require such models that are grounded in what the body is and how it actually functions. This ideology is centred on the premise that the physiology itself is wrong, that material reality is wrong, and that there is some non-material, completely unobservable "ought" separate to and more important than the body, dictating how the body "should" develop. It's not a scientific idea, therefore "treatments" for it can't be trialled.
