    Congratulations 🥳 HandMade with Carole on the wonderful work, very beautiful mask made 😉👍.
    And just like you I also have a passion for creating and producing African masks 🗿 in wood, using the same methods and tools 🗡you use.

    What kind of wood finish is used for African wood art generally? I love the look and patina.

      Thank you! Wood finish depends on the african wood carver's personal style. But mostly used is varnish, wax, stains, or natural oils

      It's not talent, it's years of hard work and obsession to perfect a skill. Calling it talent is actually kind of an insult. The real talent lies in being able to focus on a skillset until you're a master.

    That's amazing work, this gives me ideas on how I can carve my masks in Canada.
    What type of wood is that made with? I work with yellow cedar, red cedar & a random mix of hardwoods.
    Amazing work.

    Hello, What's the name of the tool you used in 3:55 to carve the back of the mask?

    • @outreachandtransformlives
      @outreachandtransformlives  Рік тому

      Hi. The tool used is a locally made Adze Axe, well known in the area. This is used to remove unwanted parts in wood crafting
