😂😂😂 You're gonna laugh when you see that group. Editing that video now. My jaw dropped. Thanks brother!!! You helped ke out a lot with rifle loading 👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸
The way you edit these test is great...discuss what your doing...go out shoot...come back and talk...it's quick, to the point and no wasted time. Good job PorchPup! Now it's time to pick the most promising node and dive into the subtleties, another primer, seat length and so on...this is very interesting.
Thank you, Charlie. I try to keep them short and sweet so people dont lose interest. I'm trying my hardest to get a good node to start with. But, it takes a while sometimes. Went through a lot of crap for my Compass before I found what worked. It helps out immensely using those sheets and targets you were kind enough to send me. I really appreciate your help with this, pard.
Glad you stuck with it, Shows improvement. Have you considered a primer change? i use CCI 41 primers for AR loads. They are 'OPTIMIZED' for spherical powders in AR rounds and are more or less considered a magnum primer. Might be worth a try.
Well my friend great shooting I need to follow your lead with your targets the way you’re doing it keeping them in a binder great idea great video look forward to your next one or seeing you on Uncle Jim‘s hat chat
Thanks Willie! Charlie Irby sent me these data sheets a while back as a way to keep my records. He really helped me out a lot. Hope you're feeling better today, my friend 👍🇺🇸
You won’t find many powders better than H335 for 55-62g projectiles. I’ve found it performs better between 25.1 for 60g bullets to 25.7 for 55s. FMJs as a rule aren’t going to show match grade accuracy
Thanks Chico! The binder idea was all courtesy of Charlie Irby. He hooked me up bigtime sending me those load data sheets a while back. I take them to work and make copies of them to do all of my testing with 👍🇺🇸
I think you'll like Varget. It shines with the heavier bullets near max charges. I havent tried it with these yet but I do plan to. Let us know how it works out! Thanks Jesse 👍🇺🇸
WTF i'm getting ready to reload some of these bullets with CFE 223 powder and Winchester SR primers for my AR with 1 in 7 Twist barrel , wish me luck !!
Great shooting my friend nice groups I also picked up H335 I have my cast 308 loaded to try let’s see what happens when I go I have to see the eye doctor first eyes getting old 😂
I think with the 55 gr bullets those will shrink by a lot . With H335 and a 62 gr bullet my gun opened up on the group also , about 1 -1 1/4 inch . The 55 's went .500 -.625 inch group with Hornady FMJ's in the AR .
I think you're right. I'm gonna pick some up on my next trip out to the gun shop. Glad to see it's not just me having iffy results with this combo. Thanks for all the info you've offered up James 👍🇺🇸
I haven't had good results with H335 yet either or any ball powder for that matter. Varget may be the ticket for the 62 FMJ if you have any intrest in using extruded powder. I stumbled across this load and have since found it mentioned by many others as being an accurate load. Worth a try anyways if you don't mind using extruded, nets me 1 MOA or slightly larger with 10 SHOT GROUPS in a cheap little Axis. 62 gr. Hornady FMJ 25.4 gr. Varget R-P brass w/ CCI 450.
Thank you! I just did some testing using Ramshot TAC and it was kind of the same story I've had the last 4 rounds of testing. Varget is my next option, I just picked up another pound. I'll definitely give that a try. Thanks again! 👍🇺🇸
@@TinManReloading no problem, hopefully it works well for you. I haven't had luck with ball powders yet but would love to find one for ease of using a powder measure in my bulk reloading but so far only ever had good results with extruded powders.
One load you might wanna try is a a 55fmj with some imr3130 behind it. I've had awesome luck with it getting sub moa out of my budget rifle with a faxon gunner 1/8 twist barrel. My magic number is 23.6 seated to mag length but some folks dont like to use stick powder because of how it meters but my auto drum doesn't care lol I really like the binder idea as well. Did you scan a target from midway and print them or did you get the targets already made?
I'm open to using any kind of powder. I trickle my test charges so stick powders dont bother me. If I see some 3031 I'll pick some up. Thanks, Lead Bullet Junkie! Charlie Irby sent me the originals of the targets and data sheets and I make copies of them at work. I stick the orange dots in the bullseyes to make them easier to see at 100 yds.
I havent gotten that far yet. I just got 750 of these bullets a few weeks ago and this is my process of finding loads that work. Lots of trial and error, but eventually I'll find a winner.
H335 is a great powder for 55-62g projectiles. 25.1g of H335 is dynamite in 60g projectiles and 25.7g in a 55g projectile. Sierra’s recommended accuracy load is with H335.
@@TinManReloading Not only are the 450 primers made for ball powder, but they also have thicker cups that will handle the pressure of 223 much better. 400 primers are the toughest small rifle primers, but they are meant for 357 Magnum and 22 Hornet and are the same as CCI Magnun Small Pistol primers. For 223, use CCI-450 or Blount #41 primers.
I'm good with a couple of these after the crap-shoot I had with the first batch of test rounds using this powder. Have you tried this powder in your 223 at all?
Thanks for the info on h335.
Thanks for watching, Rebel!
The brass and primers at 24.8 look fine... 24 grains gets me MOA. Just a plinking load, like you said.
"Cover up my pulled shot. I mean flyer"😂👍 love the range footage. Keep up the hard work!

Good video brother. I have never used H335 so I have not input on it. Glad you got some improvement by bumping the charges up.
Thanks, Eric. It did get a lot better with more case fill. 👍🇺🇸
Good results as very interesting info.....Good stuff....

That's just about my luck! 😂 Gonna see if the 55's make a smaller group with this powder. Thanks, Mike. Hope all is well brother 👍🇺🇸
