Not just the production... but for real check the huge difference in style and swag from 1990-2004, only 14 years and it seems as different as black and white. I was 10 in 1990
Yo Mansour, great job! Pretty epic shot of you dragging the cigarette then pushing all your chips in. Then you hit an amazing 2 outer.! That’s an OG moment!
I can't believe I've never seen these legendary hands. That bad beat Tuna took is..........wow. I don't even have the words. That's insane the way that big hand went down.
@@JasonEmerson711 well thats yours but mine is if you are behind when the money goes in then you cant have any cause for complaint if you then lose the hand
what they did not show was that after Hans tuna Lund took that tragic bad beat, he proceeded to play for another 3 HOURS and almost got the chip count back to even before losing the final hand. There has NEVER been another player who has taken a beat that horrible and then had the endurance to grind it out for another 3 hours. Tuna was by far the best player in that World Series. He was truly one of the greatest gamblers ever. It was in his blood.................r.i.p.
@@toddduchesne1749 a 95% favorite losing on the river which would have made him the wsop winner......you must be new to this.....go back to playing UNO.....
When they said that Stu Unger made it to the final table, that is actually a lie. He actually was in the hospital due to a cocaine overdose and the doctors refused to let him go back and play. He made it to 9th place after his stack got blinded down over time. Billy Baxter had actually staked Unger and tried to get the tournament to let him play in Unger's place. Binion's refused.
If he doesn't od, he almost certainly wins his 3rd bracelet here. He had so many chips that he made it to 9th without even being there. Stuey was an amazing card player, an absolute ahead-of-his-time genius, but he was terrible at everything else. He was definitely a cautionary tale of what can happen in the gambling world.
Thanks for sharing this. Question, in the beginning it said 9th place Stu Ungar, didn’t he NOT show up for the final table ? But still finished 9th …. Thanks
here i thought this youtube name was made up and now i know this man was at the FT and went out of his way to record it on poker go to show us all thanks
@@santiagogarciamansilla5375 What an absolutely terrible beat for mansor that would have been. Stuey really was something else shame he didn't get to play this final table
Nope, It kinda became the story told… But as confirmed by the guys present and his coplayers, his hospital trip was on the day before. He had a lot of chips to withstand and make the FT. But he did play and bust in 9th
Damn $900,000 for first and $400,000 for 2nd... and Matlubi hit a two outer set on the river when he was all-in vs 2 high pair... that was fucking brutal.
Love this old school stuff
When you realize the uploader is the winner in the video.
Spoiler alert!!! But cool!!😎🤙🏼

Even watching the year money maker won (03 04?) seems like you were watching something from the 80’s

it was hardly a bad beat, he was a dog when the money went in and got lucky then got unlucky
@@jamesshaw4272 the classic suck/resuck, which makes it even worse of a bad beat, imo.

No news of this whatsoever at the time back in the UK. No interviews, no TV, nothing.
First European player to win the tournament, pretty historic moment.

People do it everyday. Also, thanks for spoiling the winner butt face.
When Tuna had the A9, that was not a bad beat.

@samiam7342 Pocket tens is a big favorite vs A9. Tuna was ahead on 4th street only .
@@toddduchesne1749your an idiot if you don't think that was a horrific beat after Tuna turned his miracle ace

Oh man! The NTSC colour.
Thank you so much for this

I heard he made it back was so low he couldn't do anything
Even if he got blinded down in 9th he still made it to final table.

He still showed up to play in the end though. So he was blinded down, but not blinded out.
What's woke about poker?
Great stuff
Thanks for sharing this. Question, in the beginning it said 9th place Stu Ungar, didn’t he NOT show up for the final table ? But still finished 9th …. Thanks
He OD'd prior to day 3 and blinded out. He had a big lead, reportedly, as well.
Unger had a major cocaine problem. When he played sober, he was the best in the world. When he was on drugs, he would destroy himself.
he was busy destroying what was left of his nose...so sad..that man was a phenom.
Great stuff!
chris marlowe my favorite volleyball announcer he's still doing it
@Mansour Matloubi did you ever verse stu heads up again xdd
And I thought that Joe Cada was hella lucky at his final table. Matloubi was hella lucky on seveeral rivers at that final table.
Checked a few names online, they still play poker!
mmm the good ol days...i can smell the second hand smoke
Stu ungar was on fire, if he could have finished the tournament it would have been 1st
Did u play against stu ungar at all? Would love if u shared any stories of him if you did

No cell phones, no insane woke crap...the 90's was the best!!
ok, boomer.
It was an awesome time. Glad first 18 years of my life were free of cells, social media, and insanel cultural politics.
What a strange comment. Get out more
Oh shut up
No cell phones? People are afraid to freely express themselves? Man the 90’s must have been terribly boring…
Have Jim Ward and Paul Sorvino ever been seen in the same room together?
Are you actually Mansour Matloubi?
Yes, yes I am.
THE monsour. Wtf.
Tuna Lund was 34 years old at this final table
Poker is a stressful game
Wow he looked 44 at least.
He looked 54 lol
Is this the one where Stuey gets blinded out?
Yes, and then Stu challenged Mansour a heads-up where Stu call him in one hand with 10 high.
@@santiagogarciamansilla5375 What an absolutely terrible beat for mansor that would have been. Stuey really was something else shame he didn't get to play this final table
Yes, he was in the hospital for an OD and the doctors wouldn't let him leave.
They cut through some fine timber to get down to the tail end of this..
The commentary is really good. They direction however is pretty bad, they don't show hand developing.
Well, the hand where Mansour is about 5% to stay in the tournament is at least one of the most famous hands in poker history.
I know them all...😮
Bad beat for chip to pass away so early in the poker boom years.
LFG Tuna! 🎣
Rip texas dolly
👍
Hi Mansour, can you give me your e-mail for a written interview? Thanks

Roy Munson after getting beat by Big Ern.
stu unger didnt fall to 9th place, he overdosed in a hotel room and was not able to return ,, thus he got blinded out

Weird. That first all in hand, no one ran around and screamed and chanted for what card they wanted……hmmmmm. Smh. Poker is a joke now
