Idk if MHJ and team were aware of it while designing and crafting all this, but the friendship theme, that pure wholesome aspect, its something we all experience, and many times we lose track of it due to chasing things that we r influenced to think will be better than friendship and comradery, like family. Its like NJ encapsulates that in their concepts and lore/stories. That middle point between being kids and grown ups that many have been tricked in forgoing. Rushing to grow up. Its a fine balance. You dont want to be stuck in childhood yet you dont want to lose your innocence , so to speak and embrace adulthood. I wonder if thats what MHJ and NJ were trying to convey. Just my own specualtion tho. Im not very versed in all things Newjeans.
one thing ador via newjeans has reminded me of is that the korean entertainment and art markets have creatives who are more than capable of producing maximum effort in kpop group concepts. it becomes such a shame to see highly- and long- established companies churn out half-baked ideas for groups who have the potential to bring something artfully spectacularly to life. looove your art direction analyses and i hope we can expect more from you soon 🩷
Exactly that it’s almost like the digitisation was to much for listeners that’s why everyone describes them as fun and fresh beause the Kpop community knows that it is a very oversaturated genre

what i really enjoy about nwjns that i see for what their art directors are paid for especially those who create albums, all hybe groups have interesting concept and not disappointing albums, but nwjns is something on another level. btw your vids are amazing!!! hope you'll upload more soon
I really like your videos so in depth well put together it’s like my thoughts and what I think about constantly about the industry out I can’t word it properly. I always say the new jeans concept is themselves NewJeans like there is two versions of them . And when you said the video that they incoperte techno to old style aesthetics I feel like that the versions of NewJeans . I’ve also noticed that there music and mv stories always have a sense of deep meaning with scary self awareness of the brand they have created ador and NewJeans it’s crazy
