I met him here. At this show. He wasn't very nice to me. I bumped into him on the street. And of course I was like shit and I froze and I could only say hi to him and that I was a fan and I am going to this show and the one in Roseland. And he just said "thats nice" in a condescending manner. I was 16. But what an impact on me he made. He saw me later on when they were leaving and I was beaming at him and he looked me at like, "oh no this little kid again." Oh well. I get Chills whenever I hear Heart Shaped Box and will forever. Don't meet your idols.
thats sad. but be reminded that kurts drug use peaked before in utero was released. This was because he was extremely deppressed. Maybe he didn't realize he was being mean
Sorry to hear, but maybe he was really going through his drug use during this time, and was sick of nearly everyone around. Maybe that's an explanation, probably didn't mean to be a dick to a young kid like you.
Great tone recreation, you nailed it, that univox with the JB sounds awesome! Loved that outro as well, I've concluded that speakers are the most important factor in tone.
Amazing! 🤘🏼🔥 (as always 😉) I remember watching this live at my friend's house as a teenager and being so psyched they were playing, but Kurt's tone sounded so shitty to me lol... like it was run through an old digital pedal that lagged and felt mushy or something. Plus, he played a bit sloppy and fudged some notes, so it never was a favorite performance of mine, but I'm really impressed by your video. Side note, but years later when I was able to see the behind the scenes footage w Charles Barkley and everyone goofing around, it was just really great seeing them be silly and happy the way they were before things went downhill. Thanks man 🙏🏼🤘🏼🙌🏼
hi jq! i have an 1996 METEORO super RX100, and bro, its IDENTICAL as kurt’s in utero tone and the early 1993 shows, you could make a video comparing cheap amps to nirvana tones, what you think?
Great sound! You are my favorite Nirvana artist I have ever seen! What are your settings for Small Clone in Come as you are on the Nevermind studio album?
Loved it man great sound! On what setting do you have the Echo Flanger blend switch? I’m not sure on it but personally I find on the studio the blend is off and live he had it on. What do you think?
You know, this actually sounds much better than the original! Did you use a Polychorus for double tracking or played both the songs with different guitars? And I even love the rich chorus kind of clean tone. I recommend anyone else to listen with headphones, my god the sound…
@@LulAJayyy The chorus you're hearing is because I played Pat Smear's part and Kurt's part. Double tracking using different sounding guitars can make a chorus sound
the Marshall has nothing to do with the celestion. As Aaron has said many times, no speaker sounds like another. I think the order in my preference between the celestion would be 1-3-2
@@jq.guitars I want to say that the sound obtained from the Celestion is much better. that's why in comparison the Marshall in a speaker versus has nothing to do. Although the Marshall is very good, the sound of the 3 Celestions you have is much better.
Awww yeahhh! sounds great man 🤘🏼
love youre content(:
Nice job. I remember the clean guitar parts in this performance (especially the Rape Me intro) sounding beautifully glassy & clangy.

The heart shaped box tone sounds so close to the studio tone!

The G12T-75 are the secret sauce . They are so important, more than the guitar or the pickup in some cases!
Sounds amazing!! Can’t wait for live and loud
This sounds very good man and pretty accurate to the tone. good stuff!!
That guitar sounds and looks amazing. Good job
Love that univox man, great tone
Great vídeo! Impressive how the sound changes between same models from diferent years. I prefer #1 and #3.
Jq thanks for your amazing job!
To me the first and the last speakers are the best!
Sound great. You even did the C# thing. Great job!
Man that Univox is so nice. I've got to get one one day haha.
Nailed it my friend. This is my fav sounding nirvana performance of all time
I think speaker 1 and 4 sounded the best. Nice job

great job!!! i liked speaker #1 the best.
Thank you!
amazing tone dude! love it :D
Sweet guitar dude
Awesome video, sounds great! Very close to the real thing. Super excited for your Paranount/Reading videos.
You definitely helped it sound closer! Thanks again!
@@jq.guitars what will you do next?
@@jq.guitars No problem man, happy to help!
Very cool
The first speaker definitely sounds great
That one is my favorite

u should make a recording quad tracked with the 4 speakers.
🎉
Great sound! You are my favorite Nirvana artist I have ever seen! What are your settings for Small Clone in Come as you are on the Nevermind studio album?

I had blend on in this video. I think it would make sense, because RFUS studio sounds like it's off.

Thank you! I only used the Echo Flanger for the Heart Shaped Box solo. I played Pat's part with a Mosrite and Kurt's part with a Univox
@@jq.guitars I’m very surprised for the clean tone without using any effects…
@@jq.guitars Ah! sorry, I didn’t even pay attention to the gear!
Great tone! Excellent playing technique! Very close to Kurt. Your Mesa Boogie Studio 22 settings are: Bass - 3, Treble - 7, Middle - 10. Correct?
Thank you! That is correct
I like the v30 or the first one
Old video, but are you planning on doing Argentina 92'?
i notice you put on the polychorus analog on the verse riff like the studio version.
I didn't use the polychorus for anything except the Heart-Shaped Box solo

What kind of cable did you use to connect your studio .22 to your cab? Thanks
Just a standard Amp to Cabinet cable
