I just had my gastric bypass and I’m vegan. I’m so tired and week, lightheaded as well. I just can’t drink protein shake, I’m saturated. I’m on the puree phase and I’m lacking of receipe idea. Thank you for sharing your experience xo

You could make a vegetable soup and purée it. That may stick with you better. Vegan yogurts are good as well. Fresh fruit smoothies with protein powder may also help. These worked better for me than a protein shake. I hope this helps. Hang in there! Thanks for watching!

I am so happy to have come across your site. You sound so much like me. You are an older adult with similar physical ailments like thyroids. It is my belief that my low thyroids has contributed to my inability to lose weight even though I eat mostly plant based. So, your success story is very encouraging.

Joann, so glad I found your channel. Your background and experiences with GB Surgery and mine is similar. I had mine 16 years ago, I was 5'10" and weighed 295lbs. And I have hypothyroid, also. I have maintained a 100lb weight loss. Since I am in my early 60's I want to lose about 30 lbs. It will be better on my joints. I already had a knee replacement. I am going to start following a whole food plant based meal plan. So far I have been looking at a few UA-cam Channels and am learning about the lifestyle. When I heard Kenny speak about edamame and tofu, I didn't know it affected the thyroid and I shouldn't eat them.

Mary, you can still eat soy products if you take a good iodine supplement, but take it 4 hours after your synthroid so that it doesn’t interfere. We definitely have had similar experiences! Check out my GB diet plan video and our other recipes. We have lots of recipes and more to come! Thanks so much for watching! Let us know if you have any more questions!

Do you have restrictions at all with bypass

See my other bypass videos for more information, but the answer is yes. Chewy meats like steak, shrimp, and lobster will give you problems. You’ll have to reduce or eliminate refined sugar. You will have to reduce your portions, since your stomach will be smaller. There’s more, but that’s a good overview. Here’s my video on Weird Side Effects of Bariatric Surgery:
