After hunting for the ingredients which wasn't easy tbh after a while I thought I wasn't going to find them and Tring a small family shop the very kind lady gave me some from her own kitchen so I could give this a go and it was beautiful thank u very much just need to make chapattis now instead of buying them lol

I like your style of cooking... will look out for more of your recipes using 'hing and 'asafoetida'... i will use red dried kashmiri chillies or just a few chilli flakes to give it a bit of heat... thank you ..

PS everytime I cook with asafoetida, my cooking tastes rank - it tastes like the asafoetida smell. Yet others like you say it is a transformative amazing spice. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Nisha, I would love to learn more about how to use indian spices, I always tend to just chuck a spice mix in at the start, so all my spicy dishes taste the same. I'm grain free so cannot use asafoetida - whats a good alternative?

Asafoetida is not a grain.. its a gum resin.

Hi. If you don't have asofotina, what can you use instead?
