- We are out to find the best beaches in America! And we found a hidden gem in Florida!! Anna Maria Island is a little south of Tampa on the Gulf coast and is a very small community. It has a completely different vibe than any beach we have ever been to. It says ‘come and chill’… the beach is quiet and relaxing!
There are tons of restaurants right on or near the beach and the food is excellent! The beaches run all along the island… but parking can be a challenge, especially in a larger vehicle. But we loved it here and will definitely be back!!

I live in Bradenton and feel blessed to have access to great beaches
Anna Maria is my all-time favorite beach in Florida. The sand is like white cake flour, never felt anything softer between my toes. I remember (for the most part, lol) a night of Midori coladas, having dinner with my toes in the sand. Paradise! for sure.
Remember why you bought Ellie…..imagine if you were in a class A ….. you would not be boing to AMI beach today! Love you guys….Happy Anniversary ❤
I live on AMI. Best beach I've been to in continental U.S.
We love the beaches around Sarasota and Bradenton. Longboat key, Siesta key, and Lido key also have amazing beaches.
My parents and grandparents had winter homes in Sebring, Florida, and i always thought i would retire to Florida. Central Florida is like a second home to me. Our daughter lived in Lakeland for several months until her husband's company moved him to Atlanta. The kids keep twisting our arms to move to North Atlanta, but Florida still holds many fond memories. But... in the past four years, so many northerners have flocked to FL that prices have gotten outrageous, including insurance and HOA costs.
I have been visiting AMI since 1953 when I was 1-my grandparents loved it and took my parents there in 1952. It continues to be our favorite beach!
We love AMI. We lived in Bradenton 15 years, vacationed there 5 yrs before that. Moved to NC, but we miss it. It's a great place.

I love you guys, but this place isn't THAT much of a secret. I've been coming here for decades now since I was little, and it's still amazing. The lack of big hotels just really adds to the super chill vibes. Great white sand beaches, great restaurants, and just great all around. I'm very fortunate that my family owns part of a house here. It's shared between about 4 families now, but it's still a great place to get to.
Longboat Key just to the south there is great as well, but very high end. Then you have Lido with St. Armands Circle, and the world famous Siesta Key.
This entire area is just brimming with the best beaches in the US.

We haven’t been hidden or a secret for a long time. Lots of tourist focused changes in the last 20yrs. We used to be old Florida, a quiet beach community. Now we are a sea of new McMansion rentals and what tourist think is old Florida. It’s beautiful. It’s just much…different now.
Happy Anniversary! We just returned from Myrtle Beach. And after a cruise to Alaska next month, we are going to OBX again in October. Looking forward to your tours.
Grew up in Bradenton and AMI is indeed beautiful. But, if you are there in the winter, you may not consider it 'hidden'. There is a ton of traffic on the main road trying to get on/off the island. Try visiting in April, May, September and October to experience fewer people.

Did I accidentally missed a video, but where's Pepper? I miss watching your beautiful puppy 🐶 . I'm a Floridian, I've traveled the world, but Florida will always be my home. There are lots of great beaches, both on the East and West.

Funny, I saw your video title and was going to comment on traffic, but you did it for me. I live about 30 minutes from Anna Maria Island…..in theory. In actuality its a llllloooonnnngggg drive because of the traffic concerns. There are better beaches that are easier to get to IMO. Good luck!

Anna Marie is about 1 hour from my home. I love it.
We found out about AMI in 2020. We love it and plan on being there in September. It's really becoming a hot spot and pricing continues going up and up. Every time an older home is sold they tear it down and build a 3 or 4 story rental home. We like to rent a home on Holmes Beach with a pool. We enjoy mornings in the pool, walk to the beach for a few hours then back to house for lunch and back down to watch the sunset. 🌇 are beautiful on AMI.
RV parks in that area are nice! we Love this travel portion of your channel and look forward to the videos.
With so many beach stops, ya'll need to get a Shibumi sun shade. Game changer. And, it folds up great for storage. Way better than flimsy beach umbrellas.

My daughtr and I and our two dogs, just got home to Kentucky from a trip to Jekyll Island Georgia. We disscovered it last year looking for beaches that allow dogs any time all year. I love the hustle & bustle of Panama City and Myrtle beach (we've been there probably 20 times.) But Jekyll Island is not very crowded and so relaxing. St. Simons Island is close by with more restaurants and a cool little beachy scene. Jekyll Island also has Driftwood Beach which is a must see. Its amazing. Tons of driftwood all over the beach.
We did Jekyll Island last year. I loved it. Quiet, not so touristy and relaxing. Our son-in-law discovered Jekyll Island when his company attended a conference there.

Thanks for the church parking lot tip!! When we are down in FL for 2 months in the winter one of our stops is in Palmetto (just outside of Bradenton). We've been to Anna Maria twice. First time was just to go have a drink, second time was beach. We are there during spring break so it's very very busy. You have to pack your patience driving around but it is worth it!!
Oh Alisa…we absolutely LOVE AMI!!! We have vacationed there for the last 4 years and will be there again in December. That is a great time to visit!!!

My family is from Jacksonville, so I've never been to any of the Gulf coast beaches. Amelia Island is nice but it's on the Atlantic side.
Looks like a road trip I would love!! Beaches!! When in OC Maryland, you have to go to Assateague Island and see the wild horses on the beach!

Stop at Surfside Beach just south of myrtle Beach SC it's nice
Love AMI, we’re moving to Venice soon. Next time you’re in the area you should check out Siesta Key, the sand is quartz and never gets hot. We love the sun coast.

Happy Anniversary! Yay! I grew up in Bradenton and went to Anna Maria Island all the time as a kid. I've been away for 18.5 years and miss it, but I'm currently in Guam, so it's fair trade-off, I guess.

After you finish in Ocean City Maryland, if you continue NORTH I highly recommend a stop in Lewes Delaware. You might get lucky and get a camping spot at Cape Henlopen State Park, which is a lovely campground with beach access. A visit to Cape May NJ via the Cape May - Lewes Ferry might be another beach to add to your East Coast beach stops. If nothing else, just a visit to the ferry terminal in Lewes for a great meal!

Skip myrtle! Stop at Hunting Island State Park in Beaufort, it’s Gods beach!. Beautiful maritime forest/ beach. Only abou an hour from Hilton head.

When we lived in Pensacola, we would pay to go to the national seashore, so we always had a secluded beach.

Oh please be careful with the sand in Florida, as a floridian the sand at the beach is literally hotter than asphalt. I had a friend who got 3rd degree burns from running in the sand. I suggest getting a boogie board. You can throw it down and take a break in the sand. It's awful. I love yalls videos! Don't wanna see yall hurt.

dunno if you saw my comment suggesting you go here on the Panama City vlog. My fav is Coquina Beach just before you drive overt to Longboat Key. I have a place in Palmetto just across the Manatee River from Bradenton.
