This is really great. You mentioned hard wiring won't affect Skoda warranty. My dealer manager said it would impact the car warranty if anything happens. Just 2 days back i bought one and need to install the same. I don't want to use cigarette lighter socket because it is continuously on and may drain battery.
They are just "sellers”. Most of managers at dealer don’t know brands policies. They say no to everything that we want to get done outside their business. Anyways, this is connected to fuse box and not to any electronic component that too without cutting any wires!

Hello, I have installed dashcam for my Taigun from the showroom which will work for parking mode as well. But parking mode is draining car battery if i dont use the car for 3 days.. Is there any way to stop recording for parking mode which will not drain the battery
@@vishnupremp6067 Hi, check in manual if dashcam has a feature to turn off itself when battery level goes below a certain level. Dashcam that I have has this option. There are 3 different battery levels I can choose from. It turns off after battery goes below that level

@@vishnupremp6067 You should use any fuses for items that remain turn off state once ignition is turned off. Both ACC and VCC. But this way you won't get parking mode recording.
I have done the same thing with taigun. Only thing I am confused is about hardwiring. Which port did you use. I guess skoda and vw has same thing that accessories are always on after ignition switches off. And the weather protection cover in boot. I removed the rubber protection but unable to put it back in the place. How did you do it?

@@ghairobin sorry i was not able to explain clearly. From rear roof wires are routed to boot door through the small hole through which you are suggesting to take the USB out into the door. This group of wires is covered with a rubber tube connecting rear to boot door on the top left. Talking about that rubber tube wire cover. Hope I am clear now 😅
@@DrawnpedalMight have simply passed the wiring of rear camera thru d tunnel of the black hosing with all original wiring including for rear defogger.
can you please post the videos from the dash cam and also please make videos of how to remove each part. some of us can be cave men and break these panels if not pulled the right way, since you have already set it up, it would be better if you show us. would the service center folks help do this? let's say i circumvent the rule of voiding warranty

Hi Thomaskutty, There is a enough space in dashboard console. However, you would need adapter that will convert dashcam wire connectors to USB. Also, I am not sure how long 10000mAh will last. Though, there is a battery pack that Nexdigitron offers if someone doesn't want to hardwire and intends to use parking monitoring. I am not promoting Nexdigitron but giving a solution.
@@ghairobin I did see that one .The black box you mentioned still needs Harwiring for charging and since they are Li Phosphate its bulky and big. All the new dashcams in the market has Type A to charge and Type C port in Dashcam. This will work very well with portable batteries like the MI 10000 mah pocket. Will let you know how long I get the back up once I start using it seriously.
@@kuttyte Hey Thomas, I believe the battery banks are avoided because of the safety reasons. That's why most dashcams comes with super capacitor battery instead of lithium batteries.

Hi Sankalp, There is fuse diagram given in manual. You can refer to find location of #43 and #52 fuses. I could think of few things that have power supply with ignition turned off - Cigarette lighter, USB outlets and centre locking. You can use fuse belonging to anyone of them.

Hi, I may be wrong but looks like you have got VCC connection wrong. Try connecting VCC to a fuse of outlet that has power even after ignition is off. e.g. 12V socket

Hi, I have just finished the PDI of Kushaq. Parking is a big issue in Delhi. Due to open parking, surveillance is utmost priority for me. I have zeroed in on Viofo T130 which seems quite premium with 3 channels. But I know squat about cars and don’t feel comfortable with DIY. Would it be better to get it done by some accessory installation expert? Also I would prefer getting it hardwired via a fuse tap so that I can uninstall it before going for service just to avoid the warranty void crap from service centre. Can you please guide which ports on the fuse box I would have to use? Also does fuse tap adapter comes along with the dashcam. Viofo T130 product page doesn’t say anything about it. I’m probably asking a stupid question here and there is no such thing as fuse tap adaptor. Please clarify.
Hi Mohi, Viofo offers installation at home in major cities in India as fas as I know. You can find more info regarding installation on their website. Hard wired dashcams do not lead to warranty getting void. I have got my car serviced with dashcam installed and visible. Infact, Skoda dealers are selling dashcams themselves. Thank you! This is first time when someone is commending my English😀 This dashcam, so far, has met my expectations. I wish it had Auto event detection recording in parking mode as it is offered by some other manufacturers. I knew this before making the purchase. I went with it because of latest sensor. 2nd thing that I miss is the remote support to prevent some clips from being overwritten. You got to press a button in dashcam itself in order to make it happen which, in my opinion, can be distracting while driving. Had there been remote support, one could place the remote at convenient place and make use of it without having to take eyes off road. Hope this helps.

Nothing happens just remove everything before visiting service center.
