    My dad went to his first team roping yesterday on the horse he has been teaching to head .

      He did not win any money but he missed 5 out of 18 . His fastest time I saw was a 8 something.

      @@BarrettHouser what makes you decide to go with super soft over soft or med soft rope, I’m new to roping, probably should’ve asked first but I ordered a soft head and med soft heel in the hypnotic, what rope would you go for to use in calf tie down

      Just depends on how it feels. Weather has a lot to do with it as well. Ropes will feel different in warmer or cooler weather. I don’t calf rope, so not sure on that.

    The gear I ran on my horses My Rider choice saddle And I use the best ever saddle pad and I use a smooth one by two Bit And I also use a tiedownAnd I is professional choice bell boots

    On your splints I put the Velcro on the outside so it back and outside

      @@BarrettHouser yes sir have both 3/4 and 1" pads, 3/4" for training/practice, 1" for roping jackpots

    What bit is that? I’m looking at getting a ported chain bit to try. Was looking at one from reinsman or one from Tyler magnus series. Have you tried any of those?

      I can’t remember. You just have to try and see what works. They are all different

    When you have the tie down put it behind the breast collar so your horse doesn’t get his front foot caught when running.

      If you want to do it that way, then go for it. That's not how I do it though.
