Great video! I love the team roping videos you put out. I’m just starting to get into roping but I’m not competitive yet. Do you have any tips on buying your first horse? And maybe a video on the tac that you run with blue!
Thank you so much. Glad you enjoy it. I would say get with a local roper who is very experienced about horses on your area. In my opinion I would buy an older more seasoned horses who has been there and done that!
@@BarrettHouser ok thank you. I live in such a small town that there aren’t many professionals around. But I will definitely research some of them. Thanks again for the information!
@@rubenleon2767 to my knowledge amateurs can compete with upper level ropers if they want, but upper level ropers cannot go down and compete with amateurs.

How do you know were a jackpot is at?
Are you in Texas?
@@BarrettHouser yes sir.
There is a site called Teamroper.com and producers put their jackpots on there. Check it out.
@@BarrettHouser thank you so much. Love the vids!
@@rolandgarza3551 Not a problem. Thanks for the support!
I have a question how do you get your roping license?
It’s not a license. You just go to the World Series of team roping and pay for a membership
How do you know what number you are if you are pretty new to roping?
Unless you are a World Series or USTRC member, you won’t have an actual number. But if you’re just starting, chances are you’re a #3.
@@BarrettHouser ok so do you just put 3 at a non world series or ustrc roping?
@@wilsonlandandcattle1795 tell whoever is putting the roping on that you are new and ask what number they want you to be at.
a question how much is the registration and awards?
Greetings from Venezuela
Depends on the roping. Maybe $100- $150. Sometimes winnings are $500-$1,000 for the small jackpots.
@@BarrettHouser ok thanks one last question, amateurs only compete with each other or they can compete with professionals
?
@@rubenleon2767 to my knowledge amateurs can compete with upper level ropers if they want, but upper level ropers cannot go down and compete with amateurs.
@@BarrettHouser ok thanks, have you made a video of your property, how many acres does it have and if you don't want to raise cattle?
What arena was the roping at
What number header are you
3
