      A grade A, fabulous example on why a lot (not all, but a lot) of eyewitness statements are terrifying. I knew a dude that got into a fight at a bar, snuck out the back clean, came back in 30 minutes later, asked a few randoms what happened and got *the craziest story* from them that wasn't even 10% close to what happened. But that does include people taking action as in physically stopping someone like this or helping police to hold them down. Or maybe the best one, citizens should all have a live app to show wanted criminals in what areas they are in so if they see them, they can take action.

    THIS is why large rifles should not be used for basic arrests. He could be armed and dangerous yes, but why dangle a rifle in front of someone who has been forced into a corner? Obviously Mark had to be taken care of after he starts firing the rifle but the police GAVE him that gun with a BULLET IN THE CHAMBER. Who is really responsible ?

      @@UniversitySecurity yes, but when you're facing a lethal threat, you very quickly lose any recourse but lethal force. i think the problem is naivety in how "effective" less lethal force really is, especially in the case of the taser, where it is quite literally a 50/50 shot it'll work. you have a 100% chance of a bullet at the least doing damage to a subject assuming you don't miss and the subject doesn't have meth or pcp induced superhuman abilities. the quicker people, especially police, accept lethal force when met with lethal force is absolutely okay no matter what the media thinks is the moment policing and self defense in america get 10x better.

      Terrible strategy for a cop with a rifle slung across his chest to tackle someone to the ground. You're introducing an uncontrolled weapon and instantly jacking the danger for you and everyone around. Yeah, the deceased shouldn't have gone for the gun, but he absolutely shouldn't have been given that access to it. Everyone else in and around that situation is extremely lucky they didn't have to pay for the officer's error of not using a taser or deferring to an officer that wasn't carrying a rifle.
