OK, let’s just go for it 😁: A top hat, a high hat, a cylinder hat, or a topper…. Not enough? Well then!!!- The top hat is also known as a “beaver hat” or “silk hat”, in reference to its material, Also sometimes casually known as a chimney pot hat or, as you have defined here, a “stove pipe hat”!!! Still not good enough? 🤔 Let’s continue- it was also called an opera hat. 😉
Had never heard of Dr. Cream, but he was an evil soul. Love the tombstone with "poisoned by his wife and Dr. Cream." Thanks for taking us on such an interesting tour. Lu Ann
When I first went to Scotland I stayed at a B&B in Moffat, that had a graveyard across the road with tombstones dating back to the 13th and 14th century, and they were in great shape. Totally legible names and dates. I stood there in awe, thinking the US hadn’t even been invaded by Europe and wouldn’t be for hundreds of years.
Is fun to be in these lives with this gang from around the globe!!! Thanks for sharing every live an interesting story with us. Something more and more interesting each Sunday😇👍🏻👏
I have been unsubbing to alot of crazy things lately and I came across yours today , with this when it popped up and I watched , it kept me interested and I appreciate your effort and I'm staying locked in, thanks and I enjoyed the video
Very well done, Ron ! I got a certain amount of pleasure in noting that Dr. Cream and that man's wife were so prominately detailed as his killers on his tombstone.

I recently stumbled on your channel and find it very interesting, you are always so respectful. And you seem to have an interest in history, on that note, have you ever thought of coming to South Dakota? Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane are buried in Mount Moriah Cemetery in Deadwood SD, and while Laura Ingalls Wilder and her husband are buried in Missouri, the rest of her family - The Father and Mother, her sisters Mary and Carrie, her brother who died in infancy and her son who also died in infancy are at the De Smet Cemetery in De Smet SD.
@@ginabarrows2454 I only really know anything about one of them, Jessie. Who is said to have passed away in California. I read somewhere that Jessie believed she was actually the granddaughter of Calamity Jane, not entirely sure how true that was though. I know nothing about the other three kids.
I love the old stories and looking at the old headstones, where I am from they have several with the picture on them. Those are so fascinating to me, that you can see these 200-year-old photographs in such pristine condition. I enjoy you taking me and everyone else along with you on this journey. You have a very eloquent way of telling a story. I am so happy I found your channel I look forward to seeing your upcoming videos. Keep up the great work. And be safe. It's just an idea but, when you come down South again come to Texas we have some interesting cemeteries. It amazes me how much headstones have changed over the years. I enjoyed this video.
Well Dr. Cream was a real piece of work. Not only did poor Daniel suffer from his villainy but may other innocents as well. I do not believe he was Jack the Ripper nor anyone other than an evil man who was selfish and demented. There were some really twisted people in the 1800's. It is as always, a pleasure to hear such an interesting story and see the evidence of said story in the gravestones of these victims. If I were to walk this cemetery and read Mr. Daniel's tombstone I would be taken aback for sure. Very nicely done with respect and dignity to the victim. You are a class act good sir.
Interesting story abt Dr Cream, travelled around a lot. Newgate Prison mentioned here. My 5 great grandfather spent time there for stealing a bit of wool, so they shipped him to the Colonies in 1733 where he became a successful farmer .
i read the book "jack"back in the 80s....few know of the connection between the whitechapel murders and the chicago connected suspect, i cant wait sir we are in for a special tonight
He couldn't have been Jack the Ripper because there is proof that Cream was in prison in the US when the Ripper murders were taking place in the fall of 1888.
@@ilanamillion8942 yea the book was a bit of fictional offshoot, overwhelming evidence that Cream was NOT the ripper...i believe its all the photos of him with the tophat that gave spark to those rumors and lore, that and the fact he was notorious for hurting prostitutes.....there are only a handful of photos of thomas cream and he is always wearing his tophat in most

Hi Ron!!! Another great video my friend. Ya can't help but love the swiftness of the courts back in those days!!!!! I love the enscription on the headstone !!!!
I hadn't heard of this story. Another really great story Ron, you never disappoint. No matter what story your telling, I'm always glued to the screen so I don't miss a thing. Stay safe out there Ron.
I live in Reunion Island, and the oldest graves that I've seen dates back to the 1700's. One is the grave of a famous pirate, but as it turns out, he is not even buried there, and his tombstone was not his, but the tombstone of a slave woman which got stolen and turn over to write the pirate's name on it.
The oldest grave I’ve ever found is in a church yard near where I live, a place called horsely village, there’s no name on it, it just says 1200, the Norman church was built in the 1100s TMW 🏴🇬🇧
This guy has to be one of the sickest men in history. This story pretty much just gave me PTSD, UGG! Still had to watch till the end though. A great storyteller keeps ya engaged like that. Thanks Ron
I'm curious what is the oldest grave you have seen and where. Also, is there a cemetery that has more than others you've visited? Ty for the tour! I love cemetery's and love seeing you go to places I probably won't ever get to visit!

Just because he emulated jack the ripper doesn't make him jack the ripper. I guess Dr. Cream didn't realize that jack the ripper murdered with a blade, and he himself was just a common poisoner🤣He definitely had delusions of grandeur.
