Blade here. I understood that the poor turnout was a protest against Neil leaving the club, plus the thicko remark didn´t help of course. It was a very tight game and you could have won the match, no question. A couple of inches to the left and the ball which hit the post would have gone in. It was a fair match IMO, which is unusual these days. I agree with your assessment of Brewster and Robinson. Any decent defender would have sacrificed a yellow card for the team in that situation. At least it was only a harmless tug of the shirt. Good luck for the rest of the season. The management will have to decide whether the head coach will be allowed to influence the hiring and firing of players in future.(NB: try and get rid of the light beam reflection in the mirror over your left shoulder.)
Absolutely no complaints at all. Much more enterprising and tenacious. Whatmore, Savile put themselves about more. Norre was notable player and we were unlucky not to get something out of that performance. Tanganga our MOTM.Emakhu made a difference. These 1-0's had to go the other way sooner or later. Sparse crowd for Neil's home send off though.
Agree with all of that. When I arrived at the Den, it was so quiet I assumed I’d arrived early for a 20:00 kick off. Decent performance and disappointing turn out.
Excellent content Chaps, absolutely agree the lack of crowd treatment and support for Neil was disappointing and actually disgraceful after all the man’s done, don’t expect him to come running back if the next man puts us in the shit , block 31
Super Neil Harris is a Living Legend always will be thank u very much for everything you done for us 🦁💙 in Super Neil Harris i still trust 🦁 COYL Miiiiii Miiiiii 🦁 💙
I've been trying to say this for months. One man up front at home does not work. = less chance of goals. Understand against top sides. It seems to me Harris has not been able to unlock the system of play to allow the forwards to score. How did a 40 goal striker score his goals. Was it one man up front? Ivanonic is a Serbian international so not ready for Millwall? No1 The system of play should be aimed towards how these players score goals. Harris has made his own decisions on leaving the club which appears to be what he wanted anyway by season end.
U am shock3d we los5 NH. 8 know people are saying it was his difficulties with the Board's strategy but he walked last time immediately after our fans at Brentfo4d sang,"How sh t must you be, we're winning a2ay " Thicko is the right adjective.
Chris, the reason Ivanovic isn’t ready is because he’s not had that much game time. Look at Esse. Last season he wasn’t half the player he has been this season, and the reason for that is that he’s been playing regular football, starting in nearly all the games. This is what Emakhu, Langstaff and Ivanovic need. It’s no good these 3 players just getting 5 minutes at the end of a chasing game. Neither is it good that any one of them is given 45 minutes and then replaced like for like in the 2nd half. These players need to be starting every game together, to see if they can work in a formation that is going to get the best results. It’s going to take maybe a dozen games together to get an idea if they’re clicking with each other or not. All this constant changing up front is not helping matters. Hopefully the new manager will get the best out of these players and we’ll finally see that the money spent on Langstaff and Ivanovic will have been worth it in the long run!
Problem is the team suffers waiting for these boys to be ready. We don’t have that luxury so they need to be bedded in slowly. I wouldn’t expect you to understand though.
Tangana was class tbf, and he almost scored at the near post. I don’t want to lose him but he does deserve a move to a prem club. So hopefully he gets it, plus we pick up a cheeky fee at the same time. Joe Bryan, quality going fwd but can be a liability defensively as seen last night, he was caught out of position and also got done for pace then GOAL. He needs replacing come the summer although it wouldn’t be a priority, Harris should have went with 2 up top against the best defence in the league , Harris kind have fed him to the wolves starting alone up top against Sheffield United. Poor tactics again. I’d like us to go for David Wagner, he got Huddersfield promoted on a small budget, which probably means we’re get Matt Bloomfield whose had little management experience in L1.
I can't think anything other than letting Harris leave is a big mistake. Do we honestly think any new manager, whoever it is, is going to suddenly make us a goalscoring machine? It's not going to happen and if we open up we will get punished. We went up against a side that will probably finish in the top two and we were the better team. I am really sad for Harris. He deserved a lot better than tonight.
Think Joe Bryan is poor in his defensive duties. This showed the difference in quality. Think they managed the 2nd half and we weren't good enough to score. Shame it was Harris last home game.
Steve cooper is NEVER coming to Millwall. Crazy shout. Robins is possible, I’d take him. Mowbray nearly died earlier this year and isn’t anywhere near ready or fit enough (in his own words) to get back into management.
Thanks

Perhaps we can get Neil Harris, he would be perfect for Millwall

Emakhu made big difference I didn’t call that out
@@chatwithchaps My worry is we play 7 of the current Top 8 Away:)
Tonight reminded me of a night game when we're in league one. Strange atmosphere. Where I sit I had the whole row to myself.
Agree with all of that. When I arrived at the Den, it was so quiet I assumed I’d arrived early for a 20:00 kick off. Decent performance and disappointing turn out.
christmas is a time for giving, cancer research is a good cause, happy christmas chris and the boys and to all millwall family

TBF to ivanivic he was up against an experienced monster in Harry Souttar. Never realized how big souttar was
Beast mate! Makes cooper look small
Chin up mate up the BLADES
Harris walking tells me everything I need to know about this club!!
Be careful what our fans wish for.
So how did Danny have a bad game out of interest

We have to go to 7 of the Top 8 in the current table. Leeds, Boro, Sheff United, Burnley, Blackburn, Watford and Sunderland. Happy Days:)

@DanielWynn-v7b yawn. Bore off, troll.

Heard that Michael Skubala is in the running for the job
Enakhu laid on a good chance for Langstaff in the last 10 minutes,as well.

Some people do mate, so let them have their moment and when it’s all going wrong, people like me will be here ready and waiting to say I told you so.
We need a proven championship manager imo
Do you think the thicko quote was why crowd was so poor , even at the beginning the reception was lukewarm to say the least.
No, it’s because we have crap support.
I think mate it was a bit of everything, harris didn't help saying that, and don't forget it was on sky.
Unfortunately a bang average championship outfit.
A very fare analysis mate .

My 3 are steve cooper mark Robbins or tony Mowbray

I'm sure their goal was offside.
