When I first saw the video of the defendant attacking the judge, the thing that stood out the most to me was the way Mr Lasso jumped in w/o hesitation to protect the judge. It was obvious he was very protective of her.
You could almost hear him thinking in that moment: "Oh, HELL NO! Not on my watch"
His parents must be very proud of him!

I so agree. Motivation is help obtain justice all around. IF this guy chooses to REALLY to accept his sentence, make better choices, hopefully accept receiving help to change n grow into a healthy man. I believe in miracles. Heavenly Padre is a awesome God. He allows life to be as it is, so one will lean on him, submit in humility, go on one's knee's in repentance n accept to be guided by the Holy Spirit & take that extra step & accept our Saviour Yeshua, to accept that albeit change & growth will NOT be easy, however; it will be so worth it. I imagine that this is the first time the Defendant has worn a suit. Defendants should only be allowed to wear what is in their own closet . . . . if they have a closet. Or the regulation 'Orange Suit' and in this Defendants case, shackles and cuffs since he has shown a propensity to attack a judge or anyone else within reach.

I was thinking the same exact thing! I’m not sure if it’s appointed public defenders but if it is- tax payers rarely see efficient lawyering when they’re paying tons for it! I’m not saying this dude is Mr. Innocent but people definitely deserve fair representation especially when tax payers aren’t getting discounts from the lawyers that do not seem to care.

While this was tragic & traumatic for all involved…I have an unpopular view of Mr Redden…I feel bad for him too. This man is schizophrenic & not on his meds. It’s a very very dangerous combination. I’d like to know WHY he hadn’t been given his meds, ESPECIALLY when he had already been diagnosed. Obviously he’s now on meds. He needs to be punished…NO QUESTION. But Jesus WHY was he not on his meds? These mental diseases are NO JOKE. And BAD things can happen. NO ONE should EVER be subject to ME without my meds & there’s no way I’d ever be without them due to making anyone else suffer. Same with my DIL with bipolar. It’s not pretty. So SOMEWHERE there is an explanation. Bipolar & Schizos are NOT GOOD taking their meds by themselves for many reasons. I’d really like to know who was responsible for Mr Redden taking his meds while in custody.
