I love seeing videos like this. I think it's important to revisit previous things that you've made just to see how far you've come. I wish I still had the first amigurumi I made. I do have pics. It was a small teddy bear and he looked horrible 😀 but I was so proud of that teddy bear because up until then I only knew how to crochet blankets. When I look at pics of the first amigurumi and what I can make now, I can't believe how much I improved.

I have the same pattern book!😂 I got it when I was first getting into crochet but I've never used it since i just find most of my patterns on instagram now but when I first got it I had no idea what anything meant either! 😭😂 I think I might modify the patterns like you did because that scalloped back thing looks so cute!!!
