It's crazy how fortnite created whole new maps, has a lego overhaul mode, made new animations, has several new collabs, a racing mode, a similar cheaper yet more rewarding seasonal BP system, and bundles that cost the same amount as one overwatch skin, yet Overwatch gives you recolor of ow1 skins (or just the same skin) and charges more for it.
Haven't they released like 5 new maps and two game modes fully redesigned old maps in the last year alone? Plus like 6 new heroes, a dozen redesigns, and like 5 different new event game modes? Hate blizzard, but don't be hitting that crack pipe while you do it.
Honestly Fortnite is listening to the fans doing stuff the fans will like, adding stuff the fans will like making new things that they hope people will like and when they fans don’t like it they change it to their liking daily character outfits that come with multiple stuff so it would be worth the 20$ and giving back to the fans if they do something wrong like the servers stop working and then we got Overwatch they add a battle pass then another one for more money ,reskins that are more expensive then the originals
Looking stuff up, seems to be $5 for the premium upgrade for it. Skins are 2 new (Bap, Cass), 1 recolor (Rein) and 1 old legendary (Widow Kerrigan) Also unused tickets convert to legacy credits. My biggest issue are those legacy credits. Most, if not all, battle passes usually let you earn premium currency and OW still just gives legacy ones. Wish they changed that.
Kerrigan widow as the legendary for winter wonderland is CRAZY I already have Kerrigan from playing OW1. I see literally zero point playing the event now.
Problem with giving premium currency is if the BP actually gave enough to become self sustaining (like Fortnite) Blizzard would be making way less money, instead of people paying $10 a season, they'll be paying $10 once, that is alot less money. The reason Fortnite is able to get away with it is because they have WAY more active players, meaning they make enough money where they don't need to be really greedy in order to survive. It sucks but it is what it is, look on the bright side though, because Overwatch is making way more money than they used to we're able to get way more heroes and new content at a speed OW1 never had
@@swanletsecondchannel8533 Gee it's almost like making a battlepass that pays back your currency will greatly improve the playercount of the game. It's almost like tons of companies have done this before and ended up with really successful, long-lasting games. Also Blizzard made over $1 Billion on lootboxes alone in OW1. Making it so you can earn back the battlepass is barely gonna affect their revenue. If anything, I'd say it would improve the revenue, since people would actually want to buy it and be invested in the game. Also I'm gonna have to call you out on the whole "They're releasing heroes faster than OW1 did" comment. Hasn't changed one bit. Battle pass has not given the devs revenue to work on new heroes. It's just given revenue to Blizzard to fill their pockets.
Whenever anyone criticizes Blizzard's grubby practices, they're often met with "If you don't like it, don't buy it." I would like to ask everyone skeeved out by this to not buy anything, even if you do like it. Don't buy the Battlepass, don't buy the PvE missions, don't buy skins in the shop, don't buy whatever the hell this new thing is. If you keep giving them money, it's going to keep getting worse!
You hit it on the money and idk if people realize but when you get a new Overwatch account off rip some hero’s take up to 50 games to earn. EACH HERO IS SOLD FOR 20$ THAT IS OVERPRICED AS SHIT. Make all of them for 20 or make them accessible to all new players
I probably won’t play this season again I finished every BP up to season 6 didn’t play season 7 T all I can’t believe the F’ing buffs they keep adding really kiri really wtf are they thinking just when torb wasn’t a problem now he’s going to be a problem thanks for further ruining my favorite game ever even more
See my flip side is: In Overwatch One I had a laughable amount of skins. It was silly. I can't say 'everything free' was the right way either. I'm mixed on this one. In the end, at least it's only cosmetics.
not everything in it Unless you mean by getting the 60 weekly challange coins for the premium pass (which is like 1500 coins), then yes its free but i dont considor spending 25 weeks to get the 1500 coins to be free exactly
True, but I would rather just have battlepass as the standard monetization and then have fun events for the community for some free skins rather than both of them being monetized. I just don't want the new standard to be seasonal battlepasses, then another battlepass just for the holiday events. It just seems excessive.
Blizzard really looked at Event Cards from Destiny 2 and thought it was a good idea
There's a reason Destiny 2 is at an all time low, Blizzard.

It isn't crazy considering overwatch is worth 4.6 billion and Fortnite 32 billion USD. That's 7 times Overwatch's value.

@_Jxkku_ all of that isn't necessary to play overwatch. It's cosmetic, sorry but i could give 2 shts about lame battle royal games.

From what they announced on the Blizzcon, we can expect the battlepass to give coins for once (although probably not enough to buy another run).

Don't worry, there won't be 2 battlepasses for long. Soon enough, there will be *three* :)
0:45 what was that reaction time.
It's a Kiri thing tbh, tp and suzu is muscle memory
I only wanted the Bap skin, but I had the credits to get the pass, and now my Reinhardt is all wrapped up
I really just want to be able to unlock all the stuff with time. Especially because I bought the original game once already in 2016
As long as the new mercy skin is in there im happy
this is getting out of hand
there are now two of them!
and here I was happy because I have 1k coins from weeklies
turns out I need more now......
Commitment! congrats :)
Unfortunately, blizzard is not *that* nice
Overwatch 2 Gave us Battlepass 2
OW players when the game isn't free: 😠
OW players when the game is free but the coloured pixels aren't: 😠

I will defintely buy it, mainly cause its cheap.
You can just not buy it...

@@amaterasu184Have to agree on this point, two passes is ridiculous…
that does fix it, if nobody buys it they are forced into changing it lol@@rayette715
Giving "leave tha multibillion dollar company alone" vibes boot licker 😂
