For work I used a tufted gun, acrylic yarn, waterproofing and monks clotch.

Approx 200gr per 30cmx30cm....this is VERY approximate.
Roughly 8 oz., per square foot. However, that will depend on the ply of yarn used and if it’s doubled. To estimate, make a 6 inch square sample. Weigh the yarn before tufting and make an estimate. It will always be an estimate but it will be close.
Thanks for your interest! I made my first rug 5 months ago. Dimensions 1,4m x 1,4m and I spent about 4KG of 100% pure wool yarn. The total cost was about 370 Euro included webbing. I can't sell it easily cause the high cost of the wool yarn, so I decide to work with decent acrylic yarn to make the final product affordable for anyone.. @@northerngirl4666
