- We have finally rebuilt the diff on my e30. Changed all the seals and o-rings, cleaned up both the case and the cover, installed new bushing an other bits. Unfortunately it is not limited slip (LSD) but we will get to that in the future :) Enjoy!

Oof, those output shafts are spinning waaay too easy. You find any issues driving with that diff?
I sold after the resto and got myself an lsd 🙂 it drove fine before taking it out if the car so no issues there. But yeah, I agree it had a bit too much play
Hi buddy, so so how did you eliminate the backlash you pointed out?
Some of it was there before. It was very noticeable without the oil. I was not sure whether it was normal or not. After adding oil it was less noticeable so I left it as it is. I ended up selling it without driving it as I opted for an LSD.
Do you recall the torque specs for the flange bolts ?
The 6 bolts that hold the flange cover to the diff housing I torqued to 30Nm 🙂👍 thanks for watching 👋
