I'm a retired antique and art dealer in Beverly Hills and used to conduct estate sales at properties like these. I often found these homes were impractical to live in and the homeowners would live in just one wing of the house and seldom venture into the other parts. They also needed a full time staff to maintain properly and their utility and maintenance bills were astronomical. Moral to the story: more isn't always better.
@@Dreame521 Well as a friend of mine used to say "$ money may not buy love or happiness but it sure as hell puts you in a better bargaining position". Yep,I recognized the green lights as a place for a pool table. That is a perfect place to have one and play. I would take a swim in that indoor pool every morning and watch movies in the cinema daily. Nice house, but way too big for me.
I actually LOVE the Mediterranean style of this house. The bedrooms are all gigantic!! And the pool room was beautiful. These mansions could EASILY be turned into a mini hotel for getaways. A fancy bed and breakfast. The kitchen could easily sit several tables and chairs or even some booths. The bar room with a pool table and some games. 4 laundry rooms and the super large closet to store clean linens. A library, workout area by the pool. I owned and ran a large bed and breakfast, with a large house, the basic cleaning, maintenance issues and costs of service make it very difficult to run for 12 months of the year. One bad season of trading can make day to day operations difficult… I sold it at the right time, bigger houses are harder to sell so buyers beware, owning big house isn’t what it’s cracked out to be
I recall growing up that the house across the street was a two story large Victorian…large to a small kid that is. My little friend lived there and they kept most of the House blocked off because they couldn’t afford the heating and cooling costs...and the old house was not insulated. We rarely got to see those blocked-off rooms, but there were about three months total out of the year that the pocket doors were opened and we got to see the antique furniture and decorations. I can’t imagine how much it costs to keep this place up.
This is problem with mansions. My Brother had a mansion, but it was built by our Father who was a master craftsman, taking many men and over 3 years to built. It cost over $7500.00 in utilities. Awesome explore, but one thing that puzzles me is with all that over the top design, they have a tiny laundry closet. Usually houses like this have huge laundry rooms with storage
Awesome potential event venue. Loved the uplights and overall architecture. Shame it's not being used. The "town square" in the basement was whimsical.

They have that kind of money because they worked for it. I mean if you save up your money and invest in it, you'll make a decent amount over the years. Maybe they had their own company and made millions.
Fancy the owner saying ..we don't want to live in a castle? U wonder what changed? I wish someone would buy it and somehow make it into hotel/ holiday apartments or similar. First floor looks like they planned on lots of parties. The room with the green lights and dog mantle is a billard room. Back corner in that room was set up to serve drinks, etc. What a crazy cool place!
Has a Tuscany feel to it. Looks like that kitchen and dining area hosted a lot of dinner parties. I can only imagine. I like it when they are clean and not vandalized.

Gorgeous house! Love all the wood detailing & the arched doorways.
Hello Brenda how are you doing today
This place is absolutely stunning! The Library definitely was my favorite room!!!
Must be nice to decide to not want to be in a castle. Then sell it don't let it sit there and fade away
This house was absolutely amazing!
What an amazing place! Way to big for my liking but it was still incredible! Thanks Big Bankz for sharing this wonderful explore!😊
Hello Ray how are you doing today
When you first walk into a house like this, its impressive and interessting. But when you look closely and imagin every day life in a place like that, its a pain in the butt.
Definitely one cool explore of ours. Glad you came along ! 🙏
Thank you! Appreciate you bringing me!
Wonderful tour of the mansion! The library and the huge walking closet are so interesting! Thanks!
8:55 the triple green light goes over a pool table. Man room...TV, pool , bar.
Elevator in between 2 staircases is atrocious. 😖 A house that size with the washer/dryer in a hall closet?? Strange design choices…
Awesome explore, but one thing that puzzles me is with all that over the top design, they have a tiny laundry closet. Usually houses like this have huge laundry rooms with storage
I think that lil laundry room was just for kitchen linens. Towards the end he shows a larger one, a s says there were 4 laundry rooms in this house.
@@harveymccoy9838 gotcha, that would make sense. I guess I missed the other one,
I thought the same🤣 mine would be a nice mud room
I will never understand. I will never understand why these beautiful homes go to waste.
I'd hate to have to clean that place. It's beautiful.
What a wonderful location for a mystery mansion, roleplaying, immersive adventure.
This one was fantastic! Good coverage & I didn’t notice the absence of stuff because of the awesome architecture.
Hello Robin how are you doing today
Wow, I hope this place won't get vandalize .I hope somebody will buy this place right away before it gets vandalize.
Sold for only 4 million!? That's insane, they really wanted out from underneath it!
I like the basement being designed to look like outside
The hallway off the kitchen with the bathroom staircase to a bedroom, laundry room, and mudroom. Is a care takers or maid's even a chefs quarters.
This estate is incredible and would be perfect for weddings and other celebrations.
All I have to say is wow to have that kind of wealth unbelievable beautiful but way too big for just a family!
You said it sold. I'm thankful someone will renew and use it!
Awesome potential event venue. Loved the uplights and overall architecture. Shame it's not being used. The "town square" in the basement was whimsical.
Hello Priscilla how are you doing today
Only thing I dislike this Mansions is the dark wood everywhere......
Gives me the creeps - wouldn’t like to be there on my own!
Thanks for sharing! God is ABSOLUTELY GOOD! Blessings from Texas!
It’s a beautiful home. Shouldn’t be abandoned
That bathroom with the staggered pink tile blew me away !!
The woodwork alone is INCREDIBLE!!!! And the Bathrooms, WOW!!!! Sooooooo TIRED of seeing these GORGEOUS MANSIONS being trashed with broken furniture, books and papers THROWN EVERYWHERE, and lets NOT FORGET THE MOLD!!!! Thank-You for this WONDERFUL EXPLOARATION!!!!
Hello Liberty how are you doing today
This is my favorite place I've seen so far!
How can people have that kind of money? It’s definitely beautiful 🤩 I love the library the best! All that beautiful wood.
They have that kind of money because they worked for it. I mean if you save up your money and invest in it, you'll make a decent amount over the years. Maybe they had their own company and made millions.
It’s the library for me! And the entry way The architectural design is outta control!
Nice lovely wood, they probably meant that they could of had a100 bedroom if the wanted it’s still in. Good shape
Truly one of the most mind blowing looking houses.. wow wow
Such a shame it’s empty! If I win the power ball I ll buy it!!! Great explore! 🥰🥰🥰
The cinema looks so cool
So glad to not see that vandalism happened
Um, not yet. Now it's on You Tube. So just wait some misfit will recognize it and the vandalism begins. Unfortunately!!!!
@@Wildflower-ue8qm I think he said it has been sold for $4 million.
how people can even remotely leave these Stunning works of art abandoned is beyond me!
Fancy the owner saying ..we don't want to live in a castle? U wonder what changed?
I wish someone would buy it and somehow make it into hotel/ holiday apartments or similar. Downstairs would make a nice foyer. They would have indoor billiards, pool and a cinema too.
Make a restaurant and use the woodfire oven for pizzas etc.
I love the library.
Its a lovely place but ridiculously HUGE!
🔄☮ Bankz, its a bit confusing to picture the layout of the building, when you cut across rooms and then backtrack into other rooms, whilst you edit out steps of how you got from a to b. Some other explorers go in a clockwork or systemic right, to right etc. Just a heads up, that it may be more smooth to follow, if you have some sort of system. Thank you for the cool tours!
No way would I ever want a home THAT big. Lacks a certain homeyness for sure.
First floor looks like they planned on lots of parties. The room with the green lights and dog mantle is a billard room. Back corner in that room was set up to serve drinks, etc.
What a crazy cool place!
Hello Estherri how are you doing today
Has a Tuscany feel to it. Looks like that kitchen and dining area hosted a lot of dinner parties. I can only imagine. I like it when they are clean and not vandalized.
I get pissed if I forgot and left my phone or keys on the other side of that house……………
I can only imagine lol
Just have the servants run and get them. Lol
This should be advertised as “available as a movie set” the Arial shots you could get would be cool in a film. Lots of light. Cleanup outside and have them moving in or already there. Great House to use as this purpose.
Either you have big balls slipping into that house, or you know the boys over at Higgins Group real estate. The home sold for 7,750,000 million last year, way less than owner Stan Cheslock built it for $21,000,000 mil.
Homes of this size and grandeur are a thing of the past. As you will discover, basic sized to giga mansions, in the lower contiguous 48 states, are a hard sell. Unless the mansions are in Bel Air, Southamptons, Aspen and Palm Beach. This is where the 1% can mingle with their equals frequently without fear of judgement and retribution. Gated and insulated from the real world, it's perfect for first entertaining, second for large families. Often times they lose millions on their purchase.
It was amazing!! Love all your videos. Can’t wait to see what you capture on video next!!
Amazing mansion tour...stunning property 🏡 thank you 😊
