Beef Fried Rice- better than takeout

INGREDIENTS:
* 2 lbs sirloin steak cut into small cubes
* Season steak with : 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp crushed black pepper, 1 tbsp corn starch, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp cooking oil.
* 1 medium onion chopped
* 4 scallions chopped
* 5 whole eggs
* 2 cups frozen peas and carrots
* 1 tbsp minced ginger and garlic
* Season eggs with a pinch of bouillon
* Cook eggs with a splash of oil and 1 tbsp of butter.
* 5 cups cooked overnight rice
* Cook steak with splash of oil and set aside
* 1 dollop or tbsp of oyster sauce
* 1 tbsp light soy sauce
* 1/2 tbsp butter
* pinch of chili flakes (optional)
* 1 tsp toasted sesame oil

Just made this for supper...amazing. i have one kid who doesn't like eggs and spicy food - your recipe made it so easy to separate her rice from the rest. Then just added some thai chilis, eggs and rest of the beef...chef's kiss. The beef was incredibly juicy and flavourful. THANK YOU for tonight's supper! How I check if an egg has gone bad is by filling a cup or bowl with water, I drop the egg in, if it floats it's bad if it sinks it's good.

Hi there, I'm a new subscriber. I made this tonight, but I didn't have scallions. I didn't have oyster sauce either, so I drizzled a little rice vinegar on the top and stirred. I also had to substitute beef bouillon, but everything else was according to the recipe. It was delicious! Thank you!

Hi, the rice is left over cooked jasmine rice from the day before. You do not need a wok to cook fried rice. Thanks for watching!

Under a minute for the vegetables.
I minute on first side of steak, and stir fry for another minute.
About 4 to 6 additional minutes after adding the rice.
