I did the numbers for each of the two boxes. 1st box, just the rares/mythics from the packs alone is $166.01 and the box topper is an additional $83.50 for a total of $249.51. The 2nd box, just the rares/mythics $268.29 and the box topper is $60.93 for a total of $329.22. The prices are based on MTGstocks.com and are still steadily going down with an exception of a few cards. I think it’s better to just buy the single cards you need.
Rolgnart he should have made a little bit extra with his purchase, but looking from a booster pack buyers perspective, it’s really not worth the asking price of the lgs’. I think every booster pack should at least have a return of 2/3 of what you paid for. Otherwise, it’s gambling.
Well of course prices are falling, they were reprinted 2 days ago and we're in the race to bottom. Values will go back up after everyone is done opening and finished panic selling. Using the current values doesn't really give the best impression, see how it's doing in a couple months.
opened my first case, was pretty much the best possible. boxtoppers were Liliana, Tarmogoyf, Snapcaster, and Manavault. 1 foil cavern of souls, 2x foil demonic tutor, 2x normal liliana, and 3x normal tarmogoyf, 1 karn liberated, 2x normal Cavern of souls Kinda hesitant to open any more, as it's just down hill from there..

Remove the Box Topper from screen. You can still scroll to the Box Topper opening by hovering over the UA-cam time line. You just check when the blue pack is gone. ;)
Yeah, I also noticed how hard the packs were to open. I mean, all the recent sets aside from this one basically fell apart on their own, but even compared to old packs, these were tough. And that superior print quality is what you get when the product comes out of their Japanese printer instead of their Belgian one. All in all, super distraught that this is coming out right now, as the holiday season is decimating my wallet, and I can't take advantage of the crazy singles prices. Of course, if the previous video is on point, the prices wouldn't be doing what they're doing if it wasn't the holidays, so...
I think the loose packs thing is because they're printed in Japan and I guess they do their packs differently. Battlebond was the same way. These also appear to have a purple core instead of blue core, just like battlebond. Also, Rudy, there's a fucking perforated slit (giggity) in the pack that you're supposed to rip. If you used it, maybe you wouldn't have such a hard time opening them.

Maby bc im next to belgium where the cards are made here the boxes are lot cheaper could sell the cards to americans make a huge profit like the do with anything from here is worth 3-4 times in us collectables items & such.

How infuriating was it to watch Rudy not notice the cut on the top right of the packs designed to open the packs!! It was killing me! I believe the packaging is identical to one of the most recent Un-sets or Battlebond maybe, loose packs with the top right cut for opening.
Hell 300 euros, even the high ev with the topper can't justify that price. It costs less dollars than that which is kinda sad for Europe and apparently japan. It is money set and with high cost for other countries and brexit murdering wallets, just not worth even at 270 euro

It's funny how off you are on some of your prices, through the breach is/was a 35-50 dollar card. Kitchen finks was $10-12. Back to basics was still $80-90, and you opened Goryo's which was a $50 card... tons of value.

There is a slit in the top of the packs to tear it open. They are actually quite easy to open.

There is a tiny pre-tear on the corner of those packs that's supposed to help you open them.
Same packs and cardstock as Battlebond if I remember correctly.

Rudy, those are Japanese-made packs. They're a lot easier to open if you rip the tear perforation.

I got a box on pre order for 250 and got luck I hit a Tarm and a foil Emrakul in the same pack. But a damn kitchen finks for the box topper.
