Catholics are Christians, simple as that. Without the Catholic Church, the world will never have the Bible. The 1st century AD christians were also catholics (small letter) because the church (the community of believers/christians) in the 1st century AD where called catholics (meaning that the church is universal). This term was given to the church by St. Ignatius of Antioch (a christians/bishop martyr/the disciple of the apostles spec., St. John the Apostle) Protestants who themselves christians only existed on the 15th century which Luther started, and from that moment on the protestant church (which was started by Luther) divided themselves because of their different interprestation of the scripture. Meanwhile the Catholic church (Roman catholic and Orthodox) remained as brother though divided because of one teaching.

True Christians do follow the Word of God! They are in the Church Jesus Himself founded and gave the keys of the kingdom to and the authority to bind and loose. Catholics follow all that is taught in the Bible. There is no less selfish prayer than the rosary, which is praying mostly scripture and focusing on all that Jesus did for us. Powerful prayers offered up for others while contemplating the mysteries of God is not disobedience to God. Do you think God asked the Israelites to sin in Numbers 21:6-9 when He instructs Moses to make a bronze serpent and put it on a pole, so that anyone who is bitten can look at it and be healed. The Church that Jesus said the gates of hell would not prevail against (Matt 16:17-19). The Church that Paul said is the pillar and foundation of truth (1 Tim 3:15). The Church that was told that the Holy Spirit would lead in to all truth (John 16:13) and that Jesus would be with to the end of the age (Matt 28:20). Or 1 Kings 6:23-28 with the Cherubim? Or do you think you use this verse out of context? Catholics do not worship anyone or thing but God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (See Catholic Catechism). And Romans 3:23? "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." How do you obey that one?
@cheryl0327 nope. Catholic disobeys the word of God. Catholic obeys the word of pope, a sins politician. Matthew 7:21 says, "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven." That's why rosario pray is heathen.

The Church of Christ wouldn't sell indulgence.
@@vitoandolini0757 I notice you ignore Scripture and come up with the same old nonsense regarding the Catholic Church. What is the will of the Father in heaven? I know Jesus will. John 17:20-21. "I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me." Protestantism is divided and divisive because those in it fail to come under the authority that Christ established for His Church here on earth.
@cheryl0327 nope. Ur slander is getting old. U're the who who ignored scriptura. John 10:16, it's about denominations, 1 shepherd, Jesus, not a politician like pope. Remember, once again, the Christ's Church wouldn't sell indulgence like ur church did. I believe sola scriptura n sola fide, u n ur church don't. That's the fact.
