This is got to be the most irritating part of this truck!!! Your in heavy traffic, cars are jumping in your lane then slowing down. You try to maintain your distance but then another car comes in! Meanwhile this F..ing buzer keeps beeping and waking up my
co- driver. I get pissed and want to rip the wires right out!

So your driving down the road and the truck reads a metallic sign from and slams the brakes on, number 1 it scares the heck out of you, then you wonder if you hit something, what if there is a road rage driver behind you and they didn't like the truck slamming on the brakes then deciding to give you grief. What happens when the truck reads metallic signs when traveling during inclement weather, slamming the brakes on causing a jackknife.... Most folks can understand trying to bring safety features to the first and foremost but some of your features are detrimental to safe operation. Add a 12 hour day of lights blinding you not being able to see the road at night along with the loud bells and whistles.... bad enough we must put up with heavy traffic and poor drivers, but now we must be distracted by our trucks...I was told to ignore the system due to all the false readings it collects, this defeats the purpose of the warning devices.

How to silence the audio for this assist in the cab?? The noise is driving me mad with cars jumping in my lane.. please, anybody?

These are for steering wheel holders not truck drivers. Unfortunately I'm getting a truck tomorrow with one of these things and the first thing I'm doing is making sure Its deactivated.

This is the worst truck I have driven in over 25 years of driving. The peeping is insane driving in town. Volvo used to make good trucks but not anymore. Volvo should pay the drivers to drive this crap.
