Bubba Wallace's big day, Ross Chastain wrecks onto playoff bubble

The winners keep piling up in the NASCAR Cup Series and the playoff pressure is building for drivers on the bubble!
With five races left in the regular season, there are just four spots up for grabs. Will those spots be filled by winners or will a driver (or two) clinch a playoff spot on points? With the Brickyard 400 on tap, PRN's Fast Talk is taking a closer look at the playoff bubble after a drama-filled day at Pocono saw big changes in the final spot.
Ross Chastain suddenly finds himself in the finaly playoff spot exiting Pocono. Chastain hit the wall and crashed early, relegating him to a 36th-place finish. When all was said and done, Chastain lost nearly 30 points to the bubble. He was 53 points to the good before his crash put Chastain in the garage early.
Another bubble driver, Ty Gibbs, also picked up a DNF when his engine blew in the final stage.
On the other hand, Bubba Wallace had a huge day at the tricky triangle. Wallace entered Sunday's race 45 points below the cut line and heads to Indy 27 markers off the final spot. Bubba really changed my opinion on him after his pre race interview. I wanna like him again. I just hope he stops trying to be the tough guy. Just be yourself. Stop trying to make fans hate you. I was a fan back in 2017 tell 2020. I’m hoping to like him again.
