Rizzo is definitely showing his age.If he does make contact pulling the ball it does not stay fair.He pops the ball up a lot or rolls over and grounds out to 1st or 2nd.

Adding Machado for like 30M a year till 2033, knowing he's already 30 years old makes no sense. If you are going to spend big on a 3rd baseman I'd rather go with Ryan McMahom from the rockies. Or even Jeimer Candelario if he's available.
I think the caller said Arrenado, not Machado - unless I missed it. But yeah, no way they would add Machado.
I agree, but do we even need another 3rd baseman? I think going for a Catcher or RP makes more sense. We only have Wells it's good to have some depth. Imagine if we could add Mason Miller to the mix.

@@concerned.yankees.fan.I don’t think we need a catcher rn we have Wells who’s been okay, and Trevino who’s been great and we we have Agustin Ramirez tearing it up in Somerset. If we need to upgrade a position where we’re lacking the only place that is right now, is first base of course we should add a bullpen arm too but we do have to consider a 1B rental for this year with the way Rizzo has been playing.

Judge to 1st i like that.. less injuries and he'll last longer anything to keep Aaron judge from getting injured, judge is my favorite player!!

it’s June 7 and everybody’s worried where Soto is going to sign next year. Instead of enjoying this now the pitching and the hitting is incredible. Guy called into the Michael K Show yesterday and asked him what will the outfield look like next year? Are you kidding me? It’s like some Yankee fans are never happy and I hear CALLER correctly about Cashman taking too much credit for what’s going on. It’s awful funny if they were losing how they would want him fired what we’re seeing with the Yankees this year is just incredible and I don’t think it will fall off like it did in 2022 so people believe me enjoy this, we have no control over what’s gonna happen next year?

All in all…the Mets are a Honda Civic. ;) Soto to me will be a Yankee. He is just too good.
Some of these people need to get back on their meds. We have the best record in Baseball, and they act like we need to add 3 HOFers. I'm looking forward to beating on the Dodgers. Them bums and the Giants tucked tail and ran as far away as possible because they couldn't handle the heat coming out of the Bronx.
We could perhaps move Judge to first base and swing a trade for Ryan McMahon to fill in at third.
Hal never said he won't overpay. He said he doesn't want a 300+ mil dollar payroll. That just means the younger guys need to play. They can't just sign every FA. So it's time to see the prospects do their thing and see if Cash and co have done well. That being said, we're very demanding fans and want top flight prospects without tanking for years like the rays or o's.
Not to be a downer, but this is a good time to find out if Soto is going to be healthy before you sign him for the next 15 years. We have Dominguez and Jones coming up soon for a lot less money and for the foreseeable future. I love Soto but this is a giant signing.

As for Soto signing with the Mets, forget about it! Ruth and Gehrig. Mantle and Maris. These are Yankees immortals. The season that the 2024 Yankees are putting together now will put both Soto and Judge into that rarified status with the immortals. This should be reason enough, I think, for Soto to want to stay a Yankee, hitting after Volpe and in front of Judge, for the rest of his career. Please, Juan, the Mets and Steve Cohen’s money are an illusion. Don’t fall for the illusion, Juan. The Yankees are the real deal. Stay with the Yankees.

Why is nobody talking about Judge trying firstbase? Let rizzo go and bring Dominguez back up. That wear and tear on Judge is going to start slowing him down very soon. He's to big of a man to be covering Centerfield.

The voicemails looking for trades are hilarious. The Yankees were in the doldrums for YEARS because of their tendency to bring in massively expensive players with big names and questionable remaining skills (cough, Stanton..lol). Let's not repeat those mistakes.
With big high priced players comes the need to use the system to bring up kids and test them out. The thought that raw rookies wouldn't be at least on par with Rizzo + Gleyber is kind of silly. For 5% of the price..
If they are going to spend money going for a Catcher or RP makes most sense to me. We only have Wells it's good to have some depth and I wouldn't mind adding Mason Miller to the mix. 😁 with him this team would be unstoppable period.
I'd rather trade for McMahon, than Arenado. Trade Torres and Rizzo for anything at all.
everyone is hatin' on Rizzo right now and I get it, but I like him and I hope he starts hitting soon. Most players struggle at some point. Ben Rice sounds intriguing, but zero experience with the big boys, too risky when u have playoffs ready team with best record. If it was up to me I wouldn't make any major changes it could mess things up too much. I would only move Cabrera back to B3 or B2 and keep Verdugo at LF
