This was a very special fighter. A high level of technical skill, a brutally strong man with power in both hands, a granite chin and a come forward dominating style that made him so enjoyable to watch, and all the time, a gentleman outside of the ring.

Lot of respect for fighters from the obscure parts of Russia - GGG, that crazy kung-fu master Magomedsharipov, and of course Khabib Nurmagomedov. I'm not sure about GGG but the other two definitely don't drink and they all have this zen-like calm that suggests any trashtalking will be met with bad karma. In a world of disrespectful popinjays like McGregor and Muhammad Ali its refreshing to see people with true warrior-philosopher mindsets succeed.

Muhammad Ali was classy in his verbal pre-fight engagements. All his opponents respected him sooner or later. You can't compare him with McGregor in this way.

Where was the taunt? Surely it wasn't the part where he said "if I hit him with one of those shots, he'll go down"? That's not a taunt. It's just confidence, however misplaced.

Triple G was calm, collected and relatively gentle in this fight, compared to the devastation he's capable of meting out to his opponents.
The man is out to win the match, not hurt his opponent.
Canadians are seldom, if ever, outstanding in brutal sports. They grow up in such gentle and coddled environment that it's just not in their nature.

Probably a bad idea for a boxer to have a haircut that flies up 6 inches everytime you get rocked by a jab.

Golovkin is pretty fierce. Good to see a larger range of combatants in this weight class. I boxed in the Golden Gloves in the 70's. I used to try and knock out my opponent fast so I could go drink beer and toke up with me blokes and our girls. I was an ok fighter but I got beaten half to death in a match and my uncle went off because the ref refused to stop the fight..

Lemieux had flaws but no one can say he wasnt tough or he had no heart . Lost only by decisions or corner stoppage and only lost to champions or former champions. If only he could make 160 he would not have retire so early . I beleive he would ko Jake Paul in the first round so i can only imagine what Tyson will do to jake . Ggg also would destroy jake in a few round
