For the first 8 rounds maybe, but when Beterbiev's pressure takes it's toll and Bivol slows down it could be game over. Just like Beterbiev hasn't faced a boxer as good as Bivol, Bivol hasn't faced pressure & power like Beterbiev. That's what makes this such an intriguing match up

Bivol is a Boxer's Boxer. A pleasure to watch. When he fought Conelo, he fully respected the power and resistance to getting knocked down. He boxed him cleverly, out pointed him, protected himself and frustrated him. A lot of people called Sugar Ray Robinson, the scientific boxer, well Bivol takes this to a new level.
Canelo did a mistake to face Bivol, height and weight were clearly in Bivol's favor, I think Canelo took the match for the money. Anyway Bivol is really strong and the macth vs Beterbiev will be probabilly the most interesting match of the last five years.
@@antonpaco While I like Canelo, I have real concerns on what I feel is a style change. Leading w/ with his head in order to get close in order to throw the uppercut and his other strong punches opens him up to late career/life brain injuries. I'd hate to see him end up like Ali and other brain damage fighters. I see some facial changes already, hopefully he can protect himself more and/or alter his stance.

Bivol is something very special in boxing. He is the quintessential tactical boxer. No hoopla, braggery, fanfare. He just comes in and dismantles people over round after round. For such a young boxer to go a full 12 rounds shows he is in this for the long haul. He is very patient with experienced boxers and pounces of the weaker ones for quick dismantles. Definitely a boxer to watch out for. I love his style.

The narrator really loves to emphasize how Bivol is a “native of Kyrgyzstan“ over and over again. This is very strange; Bivol was indeed born in Kyrgyzstan but it was the Soviet Union at the time. He is actually a Russian citizen as he grew up in Russia and ethnically he is half Korean from his mother’s side, while his dad was from Moldova, which means he is either Russian/Ukranian or Romanian on his dad’s side. Either way he is a phenomenal athlete.
