He is an absolute monster in the ring, humble and as respectful as he is frightening. We really needed to see more of him.
GGG always seemed to be the crowd favourite. He never mouthed off and was always polite and respectful to his opponents.
Knock out artist are always fan favorites. GGG was great to watch. I enjoyed his knockout streaks. I watched all his fights on HBO. Sergio Martinez and Julio Cesar Chavez clearly ducked him.
Triple G in my eyes is a perfect gentleman in the ring and outside the ring! A true Champion!

GGG was such an underrated boxer. He was like the Terminator the way he walked people down and gave them nowhere to run.

GGG, is a great scientific boxer with patience and discipline, but also a savage assassin with no mercy towards his prey.
And finally, a gentleman with class, culture and charm...what a divine combination of qualities!!!!
GGG is great! He has class, no trash talking, no goofy tattoos, just takes them down in the ring, the way it is supposed to be.
GGG has one of if not the best chin ive ever seen he has taken many clean shots to jaw in multiple fights in his career including of canelo but they never fazed him at all. He is now nearly 42 years old and in over 300 amateur fights aswel he was never dropped even once. And as crazy as it sounds his coaches, training partners etc says he has never been dropped in sparring either and he was sparring with cruiserweights aswel. Insane definitely one of if not my favourite middleweight of all time, in his prime he was the best pressure fighter ive ever seen and has the nest jaw ive ever seen in that weight class.
Lomachenko has a good chin ,he's got dropped coming in by a lovely right hand,canelo has a great chin ,beterbiev has a great chin,inoue has a great chin,crawford also

Best chins I can recall, off the top of my head, are Julio Cesar Chavez and GGG. Salvador Sanchez too, he had the best poker face of any boxer ever

Right up there, great fighter but Monzon best middle in my time - I'm old. Golovkin/Hagler would have been a great fight - Monzon beats them both, had the physical advantages and knew how to use them.
This guy was so fun to watch. His fights were always entertaining.

He did that to Curtis Stevens for sure. The others, no. Stevens dropped some stupid Instagram or Twitter picture of a coffin with GGG on the lid...if you watch the fight you can see Golovkin drop into third gear around the fifth round and just start punishing Stevens.

He is a total professional boxer who shows real respect to his opponents. Had they never said those stupid remarks, he would have given them the same beaten.

GGG - was simply a master of balance, distance, timing and whole body power on his shots due to that foundation. It was hard to see what he was doing sometimes, but he know how to close distance, stay balance to deliver very powerful short shots. Always amazed me watching him.
Kell Brook was game and in his fight against Golokin. But man, he was outclassed.

I’ve gotta take issue with this, being a Brit. Your description of Martin Murray:” A bully outside the ring and an aggressive fighter in the ring.” Martin Murray is one of the nicest, most down to earth fighters you could ever wish to meet. He has a little history with the law from when he was younger but don’t judge his personality based on that!!

What initially got me interested in GGG was an article in a magazine entitled, "Beasts from the East". The article featured Triple G, Kovalev, and Provodnikov. All turned out to be exceptional fighters, but GGG rose above them all!!!
By the looks in his eyes, this fighter was overcome by fear. GGG just woke him up to reality.
He savours the test of humanity that is the 'Gladiatoral' contest between two gloves on boxers Triple G lives for the scrap, and learnt to smile whilst he kills. Up there with the best of them all for me. Well done Mr. Golovkin, its a shame that Canelo's antics won out. Such a shame!!

After the body strike that Martin felt like he was delivering a baby..Ggg knew had done some serious damage. Most fighters would capitalise relentlessly, but Ggg did not attempt to hit him there again.
He enjoys making you pay in a way he is re-educating these wannabe fighters who fight bums and get a nice record of losers so they really are fake wannabees

Sure bro, and if had gotten into the ring with Joe Calzaghe he would have had his clock cleaned. There is no point in suggesting some fighter would have been better if they have never fought. That is nothing but an "what if" scenario.
@@johnarnold893 I like Calzaghe as much as the next guy but the only way he's cleaning Triple G's clock is if Triple G gives him a bottle of Lemon Pledge with a towelette and pays him to clean an actual clock.
There's no way Calzaghe's pitter patter pillow paws are keeping G³ at bay for 12 rounds. Whether Joe ultimately goes down from a blow to the head or a shot to the liver I leave entirely up to you, but he's going down from one of them.

GGG is one of the all time greats. He beat Canello in their first fight convincingly, though the judges gave Canello the win which was wrong. Their second fight GGG won and it was given a draw ridiculous! Canello was also cheating with steroids!

One of my favourites of all time...
Maybe not top ten all time because he never looked spectacular like those guys did (Ali, Robinson,Duran, Leonard) but he was as good a defensive fighter as I’ve ever seen, evading punches by mere centimeters.
That was because there wasn't anyone in his league. He didn't have that rival or someone one his level until he got older and fought Canelo. Even older , I believe he got robbed in the first two fights. Even at 35-36 he was still elite! Def top ten all time IMO

The only one I agree with is Curtis Stevens. The others were doing what almost every other boxer does when trying to promote and hype their fight. Trash talk is ok as long as u stay within the socially accepted limits. Stevens broke that rule.

Martin Murray is a bad ass. Anyone who can last a full scheduled fight against in my opinion the best boxer ever , is a bad ass. Murray never gave up . A true warrior. You absolutely should never give up!
Despite his words of apparent self-assurance, you could see the fear in the face of Wade. He knew he was going down. I felt sorry for him!
The power behind his punches was incredible. I give some of these guys credit for talking smack to him though. The bouts he had with Canelo Alvarez were epic battles.
Triple G left boxing with that very rare respect level of guys like Sugar Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson, Mohammad Ali and very few others. He never lost his cool or his confidence

If you couldn't get Golovkin's attention early, you were as good as done... unfortunately, like his arch-nemesis, Canelo, GGG had a head made of cement, so not too many fighters were getting very far with a prime GGG-----------who deserved that first Canelo fight (I had the second fight a draw, but had no real problem with Canelo winning, as he at least fought the "Mexican-style", so it seemed like he wanted it more)....but prime GGG was a veritable nightmare....
Gennady: the greatest middleweight of all time. taking the crown from the former greatest, Carlos Monzon.
