Happy Saturday everyone! I love a savings challenge! Use a small cardboard box with duct tape for anyone wanting to create a cheaper savings box. Years ago I made a cash stuffing box using a shoe box that I secured all over with duct tape- added a slit for cash insertion. It was cheap ($4 for a roll of tape) and I couldn't see what was inside. I didn't want to spend much money when I was trying to save.
What a great idea!!!
great idea ebony
Curious, did you open the other acrylic boxes?
I’ve always appreciated your can-do attitude and the savings challenges. One idea to remember is IF you get low in the pantry you always have the option to use a bit of the savings to restock once you finish the challenge. Best of luck to Carol Ann as she works evening shifts!!
Did you break open your large acrylic box?
Did you bust open your last box? I must have missed it.
Love that challenge! Glad it’s back 😊.
I love saving challenges. I have been doing $1,$5 and change every year for Christmas. Last year I had close to $900. It adds up
Oh, I love those numbers! Great idea - looking forward to cheering you on with this! You rock - and I love your transparency.
Hi Lisa. Great video. Love a good savings challenge.
Are you sure you want to deduct that from your grocery and household budget, though? Maybe you should just make it a line item in your budget? Since it's savings anyway, it won't hurt your extra savings at all. I just worry that you will wipe out your grocery budget and need something and be tempted or forced to overspend? Eating out of your pantry is a great thing to do. I love that. I just worry that you are restricting a necessity too much? It's already so low to begin with.
Have a great rest of your weekend.
Wait til you see our pantry 😂😂. It’s well stocked and Carol Ann is budgeting $400 per month.
@@LisaMarieBudgets Ahhh ok. Sounds good. That's awesome.
You remind me so much of my mom, sometimes! 🥰
🤗 ❤️
Hey Lisa, here and watching
Hi AaryLynn!!!!
Hello
What I did to make a savings challenge jar is I bought a large jar with a lid. I put a slit in the top of the lid to put the money in. Then I superglue the lid to the jar so I could not open it and it worked just fine. that’s just the way I saved extra money then going out and buying a jar. If you have a large jar at home, you can just superglue the lid to it and put a slit in it and if you want to decorate the jar.
Love that idea!!!
😘
