I am fighting the tears from my eyes, from crying on busy bus. Incredible! Beautiful beautiful pictures from amazing people who is deserving to be painted. Thank you. For that segment. And thank you for these amazing men and women who had served, sacrifice and lay down their lives for our country. I wished everyone the happiest Veterans Day. I pray for each Vets for peace and healing. And I pray every Americans give the you the honor and respect you deserve. Thank you for your service. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
This is an incredible show. I hope it travels the country. But for those who can’t go, and most importantly for those who have needs, I hope a coffee table book is published. I’d be right there in line to get mine. And as a watercolor artist, masking that painting to create all the white spaces was no mean feat. I’m in awe as an artist and as a human.
Minda Kahn There is a book. You can check Mary Whyte’s web site or order it on Amazon. It is called “We The People: Portraits of American Veterans in America”
Mary Whyte’s work is astoundingly beautiful and moving. Her personal story is one worth knowing. I tuned into CBS for the 1st time in over 10 years to see Mary’s work. Ms Whyte never disappoints but this “news review” of her exhibition did Not do her justice. In fact, it left me cold. And that’s coming from a veteran, mother, professional and painter. Kudos to Mary Whyte and to all who serve ❤️🇺🇸❤️
This is wonderful!!! I enlisted in the USAF in 1967. It was fascinating to live with 200 women from all walks of life. Some didn't have running water. Some were not allowed to use their laundry facilities at home because they had maids to do that. They/we all wanted and needed a way to be ourselves, to be in a job we could do, and often, to not be able to go home. There are things I did not like, but I did learn how to take care of myself and live and work with others I would have never met had I stayed home.
Really nice work... I looked through a bunch of artists from a page (competition thing) and this is the best overall... I think all artists have their own vision of what they want to share with the world... and many have some excellent works. I think this artist excels because all of the paintings I have seen are amazing. She deserves her praise.
Thank you so much! They are so beautiful and bring tears to my Disabled Army eyes!!
Simply beautiful... .the idea, the execution, the people, everything.
Her work is incredible.
As a watercolorist I can safely say that she has a rare gift. Just breathtaking.
Heart achingly beautiful work and such extraordinary veterans.
So beautiful I'm in tears.
