I'm a volunteer cardmaker for Operation Gratitude, so I'm always on the look-out for a new card sketch! This is a great pattern and I can see that I could even use some scraps. Thanks!
I really like this card for several reasons: it is fast and easy to make, which is very helpful for me since I usually make at least 15 cards of each design; it is a very interesting and unusual design, very eye catching; and, most importantly, it uses only a small stamped or die cut design for the whole card. I have so many beautiful stamps and dies that are too small to be the whole card front, and using this card will be perfect for them! Thank you!
You made this doable. I couldn’t imagine cutting all those different shapes. I literally held my breath waiting for when you stamped the sentiment. Whew!! I would have had to do that when it was just the Lemon Lolly layer. My personal experiences taught me that about myself. Great job!
Love this card your technique is just fabulous. A must to give a try. I could hardly hear you though my volume was right up too . Maybe check the position of your mic. This is the first time I have watch your video. Love to see more from you. TFS
I love this card. At first sight I was wondering how to cut all the pieces to fit but you surprised me with how easy it is to create. Can’t wait to try it myself. Thank you!
I am a new subscriber and I love this style card. I am just getting into card making. I do have a Cricut machine and I have a Sizzit embosser. but I do not have a cutter that you use metal templets for. I thought I would be able to use it in the embosser, but it doesn't. at present I am looking for all things I may need in making cards. I sure do love this style and will use it in making my grandsons graduation card. I may need to just do some tracing and cutting with a scissor to get the shapes.
Hi Wanda, start simple with a ruler, exacto knife or scissors. If you really get into card making you can add more tools. A die cutting machine is a fun tool but is a bit of an investment.
@@RobynsRoost Thank you very much for your helpful advice. And thank you for the beautiful demonstration in your tutorial. I look forward to seeing more.
Sorry it took me so long to answer but I've been in the process of moving my crafting room and my whole house is in chaos. I couldn't find the dimensions for this exact card but I did find them for a similar card that I did in a class. Those squares were 1 1/2", 1 5/8", and 1 15/16". I hope that helps. It should work with any straight edged shape that will fit on the card.
The hexagon was cut with a die from the Beautiful Shapes Dies which was retired this year. Stampin' Up! doesn't have a current die with that shape but I'm sure some company does. You could try searching online for someone selling one.
I was meaning the strips that go around the hexagon. They aren’t squared off at the ends like the one when you do it for a circle. So I wasn’t sure how to do the strips with an angle cut. Thanks for the help
I loved the card layout. Am going to give it a try. Love the floral stamp on the bottom right hand corner of your work sheet - what is it ? and is it still available? Thanks
The stamp set I'm using is Cheerful Daisies and will be available May 2. But, I think you might mean the image that is printed on the grid paper? You might look at the Irresistible Blooms stamp set. www.stampinup.com/search/Irresistible%20Blooms%20?sort=relevance&ts=1682251395082&pageSize=20
with my speakers on FULL I could hardly hear a word you were saying. 😣and it would of been nice if you had given the measurements of the square dies used. The card is beautiful if I can figure it out.
Hello,I'm a new Comer to these diy's channels and I've enjoyed this video you just did and I also would love a catalog that you mentioned in this video. I'm hoping you still have them to send out. If my address is needed, please do not hesitate to ask. ❤
I love the card Robyn!!
Thanks. Sorry you can't make it to class. I'm looking forward to seeing all my Minnesota friends!
That’s really cool. I love the Lemon Lolly with the black.
It's a beautiful yellow for flowers too.
I think the lady you’re talking about is Ann Melvin from the UK. She does a lot of delightful illusions.
Couldn't hear you
Love your card
I am loving the Cheerful Daisies!
Beautiful card, Robyn. I have wanted to try this design and now you have inspired me to do it.
I'm so happy I've inspired you! This is really a fun technique.
Definitely looked a lot more complicated than it was to put together! Beautiful. 🤩
Thank you.
I would never have guessed that you used strips of black card stock! Love it!
Hope you have fun with the technique.
Watching replay from Canberra Australia. Thank you for this card that looks complicated but it was much easier.
Lovely cards
Thanks Kathy, glad you enjoyed it.

AWESOME CARD!!! Interesting colors, fresh and new!

You made me laugh! If I screw up stamping a greeting, I just stamp it again on a piece of white and glue it over the booboo.
Beautiful card idea. Thanks for sharing.
I feel a CASE coming on. Great card. Thanks for sharing. Until next time...Buzzz you later. Bye. 🍯🐝

Love this, can’t wait to try it
Another use for scraps 🏆
I just love the look of this card! I have the daisy set on order and plan to make something like your card. TFS
I think it's Ann Melvin of "Positively Papercraft". She was an SU demonstrator at one time, but is no longer. She has some really cute ideas!
Fabulous card
Thank you
Just found you on UA-cam, and subscribed! Love the color combination & design. TFS!

13:11 I know what you mean about writing things down when you don't do them all the time LOL. Love the card I will definitely have to try this one
I'd love to see your card when you get it done.
@@RobynsRoost I'll try to do that. I have never done it before but I will try
Lovely!
Pretty card. Can you tell me the measurements of the squares please. I don't have those dies

May I ask how you did the hexagon one? To get the angles on the strips I’m not sure what to do. Thank you for your help
Simply hold the strip up to the area it will be adhered and snip off with a scissors to match the angle.
nice card
Thank you.

Lovely! Thank you. 8-)
I don't have that die cutting set so I am going to have to make my squares by hand. Can you please tell me what sizes to make these squares?
1 1/2", 1 15/16", and 2 3/8"
@@RobynsRoost Thank you so much, love the look of this card.
I love your card robin and so easy to replicate! Thank you so much for sharing! 😊💜 p.s. definitely going to make this 😁
Glad you were inspired! Love to see what you design.
How wide are these strips?
It really depends on the dies used, but about 1/8".
Where did you get that glue eraser please?
I don't remember where I got it, but if you go to Amazon and search for glue eraser you should find one. I think they are about $4 each.
@@RobynsRoost Okay, thanks. Nothing more frustrating that have glue spots ruin a progject.
I love how this works. I was afraid all the shapes were cut out 😮
I know! Looks complicated but isn't.
Hi Robyn. Do you send to South Africa?
I'm sorry Yolanda I do not, only in the US.
I loved your card too. It was a shame I could hardly hear you.....even with the sound bar up to its loudest !
I'll try to turn up the volume on my next video. Thanks for letting me know.
@@RobynsRoost Many thanks !
I saw this technique on Sam Calcott. I think Anne got it from her.
Ann Melvin positively papercraft
Thank you, I knew it was Ann but couldn't remember her last name.
Love the card. Had my phone volume all the way up but could barely hear you 😢
Sorry, I think I have it figured out for the next video.
Sorry but if we don’t have the same die squares we need the die sizes please and thankyou
Really any size nesting dies will work. They could be other shapes too. These are 1 1/2", 1 15/16, & 2 3/8".
You need to steady your camera. Very cute card.
with my speakers on FULL I could hardly hear a word you were saying. 😣and it would of been nice if you had given the measurements of the square dies used. The card is beautiful if I can figure it out.
Smallest is 1 1/2", next is 1 15/16", largest is 2 3/8". I will try to increase the volume on my next video. Sorry.
Low sound hard toheard
I'm sorry about that. I'll try to get it louder on the next video.
Can hardly hear what you say on your videos.
