Hello everyone! I'm going to post some notes here so PLEASE, read the notes bellow before asking any question as you may find your answer here already!
docs.google.com/document/d/1HvBdzfi3OVu3neuy6cpuliPWKthrrG44AIiU4_imjII
So, first thing first, sorry the video took a while to make as I kept finding better and more sources to do this video. But here it is!
As you can see and some of you already knew(activate notification bell thingy, I'm posting some updates there which will help you know why there is 10 months gap between each video), I didn't do the video until 1950 as I originally wanted for multiple reasons: first one is because I wanted this video to be done for sure, and I would have possibly gave up on the project before finishing it, second one is the length of the video which is already more than 8 minutes, last one is the overwhelm of informations that the video already provides and would have provided if I make it till 1950. But, as you can guess, I chose the start of the Second Sino-Japanese War to end this video, so I'm planning to map the rest as well!(Gonna take a break from China however, for obvious reasons).
Oh and yes, I accidentally wrote "1936" and "until the Xi'an Incident" and forgot to change it when I expended the video to 7th July 1937... And wrote "temporarily" instead of "temporary" at 8:08 (English isn't my main language so I may have done some other mistakes in the texts)
@Support Warner Bros Well, for Siam, I have seen informations/sources showing that France and Great Britain exercised some influence in some part of the country (close to Burma for GB and close to Indochina for France). I haven't done much research on this part though.
For China though, what you saw seems inaccurate to me(especially the region you mentioned), but still based on some truth. It is true that some part of China were under the influence of foreign power. France exercised a lot of influence in Shanghai, Great Britain on the Yangtze River through its treaty-port, Japan on the Shandong province, etc... But what the foreign power more importantly did is supporting different factions/warlords in China(during the warlord Era). France, GB and the USA supported the Zhili Clique(which was Liberal), Japan supported the Fengtian Clique(until late 1928, when the Fengtian Clique aligned with the Kuomintang), the USSR supported the Kuomintang(from 1923, when they formed the First United Front with the CPC).
This is a very good video! I'm impressed at how much information you were able to gather. I've done a lot more research myself since the video I made.
Thanks a lot! Your video is/was really good to(the best one by far on the topic(s) at the time it was made).
I also found your Zhili-Anhui War video on Bilibili while trying to find more Chinese sources there haha
Could you possibly tell me who the "minor warlords" and the "various ma warlords" in your video were?
@@yanxishan6575 idiot. It could mean the northwest bandit Suppression hq led by zhang xue liang or the sichuan armies fighting for sichuan
Holy crap this makes the three kingdoms era look like the spanish civil war
Yunnan: "Mind if I just chill?"
Great work! I used to be super uneducated on this topic, but with help from you, Wikipedia, and other resources, I know a lot more about the Warlord Era. Thank you!

Great Work!

Just what I was looking for! Thank you!

This is an amazing video. So good.
Why have one china when you can have A MILLION? (2:47)
Lovely
Yeah... I remember first morning(youtuber 첫새벽). I don't know why he removed his channel.
Awesome stuff
Paradox missing the oppurtunity
Tips for paradox
1.add the event in sinkiang where you can eliminate ma clique influence
2.add shandong clique
2.add xikang and sichuan clique
3:32-4:19-4:35,6:17-6:56 peaks of chinese clusterf*ck

Goddamn
bruh moment
What in the world is this...boy you have a lotta time on your hands
Well, that's why this video took a while to make héhé
There was no Korean Independence war because Korea wasnt a colony of China or at least the Ching Dynasty. PLEASE GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!!!!!!
The Korean war of Independence was guerrilla fightings that issued after the March First Movement, both being against Japan.
@@FormosaHistory Sure, but you make it seem like Korea was a colony of China.... Please clarify this.
The Korean peninsula, in the video, is colored with Japanese’s color and not a single time with any of the colors of a Chinese faction. So I don’t know who I can make this more clear really
@@FormosaHistory Sorry didnt notice that. My bad!
This is a great video, thanks!
I looked over your notes and couldn't see an answer to this, so I will ask. Between about Dec 1921 and Jan 1925 in your map there is a region just south of Shanxi that you mark, I think, as "Small Warlords". Can you provide a link or other information as to who those small warlords would have been in that specific region? I think it might refer to Sun Dianying? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Dianying
