hi. just wanting to share a bit of my knowledge. Castor oil I am using for split ends as well. Is the best one so far. Usually I am combining Castor oil with other Oils: Jojoba, Argan or Olive oil( for hydration) couple of drops of Peppermint oil or Rosemary oil ( to boost blood circulation in your scalp) and put in microwave for 10 seconds. I found that if the oils are warm they are better absorbed. And I am covering my head with a shower cap and then a cotton t shirt so will stay in place, and leave overnight. 50% of your body heat is released through your head and this way the warmth will open pores and hair follicles and more oils are absorbed . This method works wonders for me

Castor oil stimulates hair growth.. It's an ancient indian hair secret. No mostly no one uses with the modern oiling products and also cos it's very thick.. but now slowly people are getting back to it.

It takes a little bit, maybe a few weeks to a month of really disciplining yourself not to wash it every day. Start with every other day and keep adding more time in between washing. It'll be hard at first but it really does work. I use dry shampoo on 2nd, 3rd days, light baby powder on 4th and more on 5th just rubbing it into scalp where its oily. Also apply the shampoo and conditioner like Mila did.

It takes awhile to do. I personally went no poo to initially do it. Which means I washed my hair with baking soda and did a vinegar rinse. After about 2 months of doing that I started to try going one extra day before washing. I initially could go every other day. So I started washing every two days. After that got better I started going every 3 days. I stopped using the baking soda/vinegar way after about 6 months and started to use shampoos/conditioners with more natural ingredients. This also helped. Living proof, briogeo, not your mother's naturals and more are great. I can now go 12 days before it even starts to look greasy. I don't use any dry shampoo before that either.

I would wash it every day for about a month, then skip 1 day for 3 weeks, 2 days for 2 weeks 3 days for another 2 weeks and so on and so forth until you’re down to about 2 times a week, and make sure that when you shampoo you really have to massage the scalp and get the soap as close to your roots as possible so that they are clean, and when using conditioner don’t rub it into your roots, and don’t put it on the top of your head for about 2 weeks, but after 2, you should simply glide it over the top of your head, and not rub it in. I know you might think that washing your hair every day is bad, and it is if you do it for long periods of time. But, 1 month will not do harm to your hair and scalp. 2 days after you wash it, I would start using dry shampoo every other day until you wash it agin, or whenever you feel it’s needed. Hope this helps!! It worked really well with my hair.

Do you maybe use drying shampoos or root products? I find volume shampoos dry my hair/scalp out more than other shampoos and make it produce oil quicker. Also just a product overload in general

I've tried everything...and the only I've learnt is that "if you really need to wash your hair...wash your hair daily or every other day". It's worse for your scalp having an oily hair than washing it often (with the right products)

Coconut oil is so good for your hair. Especially ifcyour heating and coluring it too often . Here in india we apply this frequently to our hair and retain the original texture. And our hair grow faster too. Its a custom apply it atleast once a week.

I adore your video's!! Maybe you mentioned it and I perhaps missed it but you can buy those thin plastic elasticized hair caps that are absolutely perfect for covering your hair during hair treatments. Sally's carries them and they are cheap - I buy a bunch of them just to have on hand. Also, castor oil is great for eyebrows and lashes for growth! Coconut oil is excellent for makeup remover and for moisturizing overnight after washing your face (excellent to cook with too!) A lot of people swear by vaseline on their face for overnight moisturizing.

  • @bibibratx

Best way to remove oil masks is to co-wash. Leave the co-wash sitting on hair for 30min, then rinse and do a second wash. That way you still have the benefits of the oil on your hair.

You can easily dilute the castor oil with coconut oil..... It helps to balance out the thickness.....I find the combination of 2 tablespoons of coconut oil one tablespoon of castor oil to one capsule of 400 mg vit E works the best....I have classic Length hair...and the quantity is enough for me.....so you can use that as a guide for quantity......hope this helps...

Me too, about seeing a video about hiding oily hair. I'm finishing up a big tub of coconut oil right now. I use it mainly to remove make up; such an inexpensive and effective remover. I put mayonnaise on my hair one time a few years back and it was a mistake. It took me several washings to get it out. And I'm afraid the same thing would happen with coconut oil. I mean it took forever to get that mayonnaise out!

Your losing 100 hairs a day so hair was day on day 3 and 4 can seem like a lot once you wash it. And it's not necessarily good to go to long without washing your hair if it's fine, your scalp just clogs more than normal people, which could cause hair shedding. Go 1 to 2 days and wash hair. Try using sweet almond oil it's good for thin hair, and to help grow it, that and rice water.

yes it does make sense actually. oil on scalp same as on face with dead cells can block hair follicules and affect hair negaitvely.

Hi, and thank you for answering.
Indeed I wear my hair most of the time in a ponytail, and when I apply a hair mask I do a ponytail again in order to avoid making mess. I sleep with a bun as well... Is this the reason? :(

Is there a reason to use heat on your hair rather than let it dry naturally if you have the time for a natural dry? I always just leave mine to dry naturally, but yours looks so much healthier and shinier. Thanks. I've learned so much from you. 💜

Most of the times hair doesn't need a second round of shampoo. My hair got way less dry and my scalp started to get oily a lot slower since I started rinsing with shampoo only once. When I have oils put in the hair, as I often do, I use cleansing conditioner additionally or prepare my hair for the shampoo with some conditioner that removes some of the oils

Could you do a video on how to secure bobby pins? I cant tell how you're doing it, or what you're securing it to, and I use hundreds of the things for things you use two for. I'm definitely not doing it properly and I cant work out how you do it so securely with only two pins!!!!!

Yay!! I just did a coconut oil mask tonight. Washed it twice with shampoo, then did a vinegar rinse and leaving it to airdry. What are your thoughts on using vinegar as a rinse?

I could go for 5 days without washing my hair, that’s probably when it looks best. Wash it once a week, more if I’m exercising. I’m going to try the oil mask.

Castor is very good for you but the way it actually works is keeping things moisturized and killing and preventing fungus.

Pronouncing “jojoba” instead of “yoyoba” is not completely wrong. You can at least say you were trying to speak portuguese instead of spanish 😊. I love coconut mask
