- Today I React to a Monster Hunter Size Comparison Video Continuing on from our Monster Hunter Cinematic Reaction Series I thought id bring you a video that's a little bit different but still reacting to all things monster hunter!

The Shara Ishvalda reaction was golden lmao. The exact same every hunter had during its quest, including me. And considering the fact that the reveal comes after a fight against Ruiner Nergi, another to destroy the shell of Shara, all in the same quest, it's even more grandiose; you have no breather in villages or safe spots when you come to that point! One of my favorite monster reveals of the series. And the music.... Eargasm!!
I havent heard the music yet! But will be doing the reaction to different themes so cannot wait for that! Shara Ishvalda was moving mad and looked absolutely insane! Cannot wait to react to the music!

they ooze personality and flair, it is quite natural to be hyped to the bone for just seeing and recognizing them - that's why the trailers get so massively upvoted, we Hunters love our Nemesis (plural)

See this is so amazing like there isnt a game out there that has the same passion for 'The Bad Guy' Than monster hunter and like they arent even bad just a way of life I really am loving this franchise!
To answer a few of your questions, yes you should absolutely watch the 2019 size comparison, the one here was only a showcase of World/Iceborne monsters, plus that one is more cinematic.
You were actually not far off on most of the names, your pronunciation of Tzitzi Ya Ku was impressive!
Brachydios (the one that looked as though he were biting his arms) licks the slime attached to his hands to activate it, its saliva acting as a primer for the explosive organisms living within the slime.
The Leshens are from a crossover event with the Witcher 3! MH is famous for its high-quality crossovers.
The reason Lunastra just fell over while every other monster got its cool intro is because she's one of the most hated monsters in World, especially for speedrunners.
Behemoth is another crossover monster from Final Fantasy 14!
My favorite monster in the series is Shara Ishvalda, the one that shed the rock shell, and your reaction is everything I could have possibly hoped for :)
Zorah Magdaros is a giant snapping turtle, and the volcanos surrounding him are his shell!
problem is, the 2019 video is not really on youtube - I could only find a 480p version, that got reuploaded by a random user...

This is all a size comparison of World’s monsters for confirmation, including the crossovers event ones, Leshen from The Witcher collab, and Behemoth from Final Fantasy.
Ohhhh I knew they did a collab with the Witcher in terms of Playable skins but never realised they added Leshens thats so cool! Are they as hard to beat as the other lower ranked monster or are they just seen as fodder? I imagine the Behemoth is a different Beast entirely!
@@Zall Behemoth and by extension Extreme Behemoth were known as some of the absolute hardest fights before the Iceborne DLC came out a year later. Behemoth required a 4 man team that properly coordinated and controlled the fight like an actual raid from Final Fantasy. Leshen and Ancient Leshen are harder to most people, having more health than Behemoth and Extremoth and also constantly attacking the player with mind controlled Jagras, birds, and teleporting. Generally disliked because of how difficult it is to kill and how unfun it was.

@@Zall Behemoth could be done solo or more. Extreme Behemoth however had such a wild difference in difficulty that it needed a 4 man group who could actually communicate with each other in order to take it down. Behemoth actually felt like a proper raid boss from Final Fantasy, not a normal hunt from Monster Hunter. This new mindset was difficult to switch to for a majority of people and resulted in a lot of failure.
Kind of glad he won’t come back any time soon if at all. Dude was scary.
For clarification, Behemoth and Extremoth were the second last Monsters added to Base World. Leshen and Ancient Leshen were the actual last ones. Then came Iceborne months later.

The 2019 size comparison shows the monsters from each generation in an organized and cinematic manner.
Weiss gaming also has a size comparison posted up which shows each monster animated and moving dynamically more than team darkside's. The monsters there are from gen 1 to gen 4 but not all of them I think.
Ahh maybe ive got confused..I think Weiss Gaming one was the first recommended to me but I checked it out for the first 18 seconds and wasnt keen simply due to the monster names being solely Japanese but theres a different 2019 one??
The reason why Lunastra's suffering at 22:38 it's beacause is the most "hated" monster in mh world, so this is a little insight joke to always rappresent her in suffering or like trash
Since I didn't see anyone mention this, this isn't done in blender! Based on their "making of" video this was all done in game through the use of cheats, and these are all actual monsters (which caused the some issues apparently lol) ^^

There are variants, subspecies and other sub catagorys some are mutation, monsters in certain conditions (a blck diablos is simply a female diablos in heat) and some are just adapted to different environments

16:41 Acid indeed, and it actually _can_ sharpen its tail. It cleans off the crust and turns it into a thinner, sleeker blade than regular Glavenus.
17:42 Brachydios as a whole are covered head to toe in a slime mold, which is symbiotic with them. When it touches their saliva, it reacts and turns green. When further exposed to friction or prolonged exposure to air, that slime explodes. Raging Brachydios’s slime is extremely potent, and is in a near-constant state of “I’m about to blow shit to Kingdom come in a second”, which is why it glows red. Brachydios use their head crest and wrist growths as bludgeons, and their stocky build + heavy obsidian/charred black plating mitigates the explosive damage and absorbs shock like a set of EOD blast protection gear.
18:04 Muscle indeed. Everything that makes Deviljho look so thick is, in fact, a shit-ton of torso and neck muscles. It makes his bite force and throttling/wrestling capabilities absolutely astronomical. That Diablos from earlier can _literally be held in the air and suplexed_ by a Deviljho.
18:28 At this point, it’s all about power. Rajang is on the same tier as Deviljho. Most monsters run or get manhandled by Jho, yet Rajang can and will square up with him at any time.

22:31 Nope. Teostra has a rougher, stouter face and a pair of horns that divide his already-huge mane to look like an orange crown in the middle. Lunastra has a sleeker, longer face and a single, wide-brimmed horn with a smoother mane.

23:33 Kushala Daora controls air. That’s a wreath of defensive air that pushes you back if you get too close, and blows away low-powered bullets and arrows. Yes, it’s a nightmare. People almost hate him MORE than Lunastra.
23:47 It’s actually covered by two things: A coat of corpses, and a dense fog of lethal bacteria called “Effluvium”. He just likes the coat, and the Effluvium protects him. Vaal Hazak is responsible for the Rotten Vale (area in World) still being around. He lives in, with, and around Effluvium. He even feeds by gassing targets to pre-digest them, then re-inhaling the full gas. Also, yes, good eye-Vaal Hazak is very much based on deep sea fish like eels and viperfish to give him that extra “mmm no, don’t like that” vibe.

28:42 It IS all him. Zorah Magdaros is related to Lao Shan Lung, in that he’s a very stocky, very tall dragon. Zorah in particular traded in back spines for magmacores that generate heat and magma to build his shell, and traded wings in for short wing-arms to help support his giant shell. And he does generate his own heat, he can blast lava at you if you let him charge it up. In short? Fat lava turtle.
Some one probably already said this but Leshen is a Colab creature from The Witcher franchise
Loved the video. Thanks. Also the things on the bazelgeuse aren't insects but literal bombs that's why this monster is often called the bomber of monster hunter since it fly and start dropping the bombs everywhere before kamikazing on you
This is just monster hunter world + Iceborne. It's not even half of the full roster of the franchise, pretty cool right? The older games have more varieties, they have monkeys, bears, insects, spiders and even crabs. World was amazing but one of it's flaws was that all of the monsters were scaly beasts (except Rajang). The monster variety is starting to come back with Rise
The Leshen is from a crossover with Witcher 3, Behemoth is another crossover monster from Final Fantasy. The really big one are siege monsters you face through the hub. And yes they are all from World/Iceborn
Random Fun Fact 4 months late
28:46 Zorah Magdaros is technically, by Monster Hunter standards, a Dragon. Under the giant volcano shell, Zorah has two fairly short arms on its back that it probably uses to help keep its shell steady. They’re really hard to see in game because it requires Zorah to lower their head and raise their back, and even then all you see are his extra elbows. Zorah has 6 limbs in total, which is horrifying.
It also took a few years to actually develop and make Zorah for World
I am not even anywhere close finishing the game, let alone Iceborne (I am a new player and it's my first MH game), but I couldn't resist watching the video, even if it's a spoiler for me. However, Shara Ishvalda impresses me the most. This epic transformation along with this unsettling, creepy roar is just awesome.
@angriboi hey! I reacted to it before touching Monster Hunter World too! Funnily enough I actually forgot alot of monsters because the intros and story telling make it feel like a fresh encounter every time highly recommend!

Technically, Behemoth is from Final Fantasy (FF XIV to be exact). They did a collaboration, so FF XIV has a special quest to fight a Rathalos.
There is actually an even bigger one in mh4 ultimate there is the so called dalamadur wich is a snake that coils itself arround mountains the one we fight in game is over 400 meters long but there is a skeleton in world that suggests they could grow up to 2 miles
Actually with new calculations the suspected maximum size could be anywhere from 4-7 miles long which is even crazier

This is just for all the monsters in monster hunter world, hence 5th gen monster hunter, world is the fifth game, I don’t know why they have rise tag in there. It also includes crossover monsters, that’s why the Leshen and Behemoth is in there, crossover so it is not cannon

They are all in world and the leshen is a event quest were Gerald from the Witcher series gets teleported teleported to the monster hunter world and you have to help him kill the leshen
The weird zombie looking dragon isn’t a zombie.
Vaal Hazak is an elder dragon class monster that lives in the deepest parts of a place known as The Rotten Vale. The Rotten Vale is the place where all monsters in the knew world go to die, and a home for some of them. It is primarily comprised of the dead carcass of the giant snake monster you saw in the other video. But, the reason Vaal Hazak looks like a zombie is because it has hook like spikes on its body, then it covers itself in rotting carcasses and tissue when it sleeps. So, when it wakes up the dead and rotting tissue is hooked onto the monsters body thus making it look like a zombie. But, underneath the dead tissue is a slim, sleek, fish like scaled, silvery body. It isn’t capable of flight even though it has wings due to it not having any wing flaps, but it does have strong muscles though. Also, it has a very eel like jaw with an extra lower jaw that is meant for grabbing onto prey.

You should really make a reaction to the 2019 monster size comparison as its show a lot, like LOTS MORE monster in the franchise.
I think It was the first one recommended to me but after checking out the first 18 seconds I found that due to the names being in Japanese maybe that wasnt the best thing to react to...However I might try to translate it or get a chart along side watching the 2019 one!
Edit: I have confused my self sorry the 2019 one is completely different to the other one i checked out for 18 seconds!
