    Really cool reaction video man.
Here's just a brief description of each of these monsters from an experienced hunter:
    - *Great Jagras:* Arguably the weakest of the large monsters, but can still put up a fight even with a full belly.
    - *Kulu-Ya-Ku:* Another monster that's generally just a punching bag, until it picks up a rock to use as a weapon.
    - *Pukei-Pukei:* Has the ability to fly, and spits poison from its mouth, but still not that difficult to take down, especially if you have plenty of antidotes.
    - *Barroth:* Heavily armored, especially the head, and when it's not trying to run you over like a truck it scatters mud on the ground which you can get stuck in.
    - *Jyuratodus:* Also uses mud, just a lot more of it. It also likes to disappear in the murky water and take you by surprise from below.
    - *Toby Kadachi:* Very fast and agile, and charges up its body with electricity to make its attacks more powerful.
    - *Anjanath:* Imagine fighting a T-rex. Now imagine that T-rex breathing fire at you when it's really angry. Not fun for beginner me I can tell you that much.
    - *Zorah Magdaros:* An exceptionally powerful monster known as an "elder dragon". It is so massive and tanky that it's the one monster in the game you never get to kill, only repel it with ballistas and cannons.
    - *Zitzi-Ya-Ku:* Very similar to Kulu-Ya-Ku, with the exception of its flash-emitting frill which it can stun you with.
    - *Paolumu:* Similar to Pukei-Pukei, but instead of being poisonous it blasts wind at you and uses its beaver-like tail as a club.
    - *Great Girros:* Great Jagras but much more aggressive, and can paralyze you with its venomous fangs.
    - *Radobaan:* Uses the bones of dead monsters as armor and rolls around to attack, as well as trying to batter you with its rock-solid chin. Oh yeah and it can emit sleep gas (Don't worry, I don't know why either)
    - *Legiana:* An agile flyer that uses icy wind as its main weapon. It's an apex predator much like Anjanath so that should tell plenty about how tough it is to fight.
    - *Odogaron:* Extremely aggressive, very agile, and its claws induce bleeding which you can only get rid of by standing still and crouching for several seconds.
    - *Rathalos:* This bastard is the mascot of the Monster Hunter franchise and was an absolute nightmare when I first fought it. Spends as much time in the air as possible, shoots fireballs, and its talons can inflict poison. Annoyingly difficult, difficulty annoying.
    - *Diablos:* Another one of the popular kids, but not as annoying as Rathalos. It still brings the pain though with charge attacks that hit like a train and its tendency to burrow underground.
    - *Rathian:* A female counterpart to Rathalos, which stores poison it its tail spikes rather than its talons, and spends much less time in the air. The one shown in the intro is actually a variant of it called *Pink Rathian* (the original is green in colour), which is just more aggressive and armored.
    - *Dodogama:* This monster eats ore and rocks which it can spit out as explosive molten balls. Despite its sluggish appearance, it can be quite fast.
    - *Lavasioth:* Literally just Jyuratodus but instead of water this one swims in lava and spits fireballs.
    - *Uragaan:* Literally just Radobaan but fire type and scatters small rock bombs around.
    - *Nergigante:* Another elder dragon, the one that appeared earlier fighting on the back of Zorah Magdaros. This guy is an absolute mentace with regenerating spikes that it can launch at you, and a dive bomb attack that can and will send you to the land down under. To be fair it needs this much power because it literally hunts and eats other elder dragons.
    - *Kushala Daora:* An elder dragon that controls the wind, using it as a shield as well as setting up tornadoes on the battlefield. Out of all the elder dragons (in the base game) this one's easily the most difficult in my opinion because I fought this thing close to ten times and I could never take it down without other people backing me up.
    - *Teostra:* Lots of fire. Lots of explosions. Not the most difficult of the elder dragons but rightfully challenging and thematic.
    - *Vaal Hazak:* Not quite undead but looks pretty on-par, this elder dragon controls a disease-afflicting substance known as effluvium, which it can infect the player with, cutting off half of their max health. Other than this gimmick and the occasional beam it shoots out however, it's not that threatening.
    - *Xeno'Jiiva:* A newborn elder dragon, radiating with bioenergy. It is the second biggest monster after Zorah Magdaros. For a final boss however, it's nowhere near as nightmare-inducing as one would expect, due to being such a big target with limited aggression even when enraged. Just evade the ultra giga energy beams and you'll be fine :)
Hey, if you actually read through all this I just wanna say thank you, and again it was fun watching your reaction.

Very good on the descriptions, straightforward & easy to digest for those that don’t know the monsters as a whole!
Saw what you said about Radobaan’s sleep gas, & the MHW art book actually tells about why it has it. It’s actually bacteria & soft tissue bone matter that mixes in its gut, & expels this gas through pathways in its abdomen. It uses this attack if it’s taking too much damage in a fight & normally uses this gas as a last resort to either deal a massive hit or flee the fight.

There are two intros that were missing from here because they were released as title updates after the main story. Those being Deviljho and Lunastra.

One thing I will say, most of us fans agree on this. The Monster Hunter movie was TERRIBLE! It’s nothing like the actual franchise, the monsters don’t act right, the weapon designs & functions were off. And don’t get me started on the acting & plot!
One note to really let you know this was a.bad movie, the director actually had the game designers of the Monster Hunter games check out the monsters for the movie. They found so many flaws with the designs & behaviors that the director got so mad he kicked them out! Or so I’ve heard.

I loved seeing someone's first reaction to these creatures, all of the designs are amazing in this game and your reaction really shows that. Aside from the lackluster story and poor lip syncing, the game is brilliant and (I assume you've played the game by now) I hope you enjoyed them and the iceborne monsters too. If I had to choose a favourite design from the base game it would be teostra or diablos/black diablos, I'd love to hear your favourite design too!

The game came out for PS4, Xbox & PC. So you at least have a good selection if you have one of these. I would recommend getting the version that has the Iceborne DLC expansion, it basically doubles the size of the game.
