    I've been using one of these devices for about 6 months now and it is pretty great. I bought it mainly because I can't deal with wires running from my phone to my earphones. I always snag the wire and have wrecked many earphones that way. I use LDAC to stream music from my Sony phone to the BTR3K, sometimes it is my FLAC files sometimes it is music from Qobuz and elsewhere. LDAC streams data up to 990kbps, it is great for music. I doubt many people could discern music streamed over LDAC from music played using a wired connection. Audiophiles do use these devices, at least those that are up to date with technology. I live in a busy city centre, I don't get any interference or drop outs, I sometimes get those problems with bluetooth earbuds. The device runs all my IEMs and headphones using 3.5mm SE. If you have any of the rare insensitive IEMs you may need to use a 2.5mm balanced cable. I bought the BTR5 a month after I got this, they are great devices.

      Hey Mrfrosty thanks for your input really appreciate it. I think my main idea here was to inform the general public that theresa's huge diff between AAC and LDAC. But yeah those in the game alrdy know that LDAC and wired are pretty much similar sounding. But it's great to get something that's so portable and multipurpose. Thanks for watching my video really appreciate it!

      Can we use the inbuilt mic in btr for calls? Any useful noise cancellation done by btr? I plan on using earphone without mic hence asking.

    The difference in sound quality is very noticeable, even when plugged into my PC and used as a USB sound card. There's also the BTR5 which is even better but twice as expensive. Definitely want to pair this with a good pair of headphones or you're wasting your money.

    Has it enough power for 250 Ohm DT 990 PRO in an acceptable volume?

      From what I know DT 990s aren't hard to drive so it shouldn't be an issue. But always good to try it out first in a shop or something before buying.

    Does it last long, Quality wise? Cause i was contemplating between this and ugreen bluetooth adapter, which is considerably cheaper, but ive read reviews that ugreen breaks after a few months. So maybe shelling out more money will be worth it. I dont really care about the diff in sound quality, im just tired of dongles breaking and have to keep buying again.

    Mine btr3k can be fully charged and within 5 minutes it will say 80% Battery then every hour after that it will lose 20% Battery .
    I've had it for years now and only just recently started back using it again so this makes no sense.
    I have the BTR7 in a clip case but it's so heavy .
    I'm thinking I might buy the BTR5 2021 Version To Replace The BTR3K .

    I just got this thing and it's already in the box headed back to Amazon. It was low and muffled. I got a Hiby FC3 and it sounded way better. Also, I have a Hidizs Ap80 pro dap which connects over Bluetooth to your phone and that sounds a lot better streaming Ldac. The Fiio sounds like a cheap $9. dongle.

    Thanks for the video, really helpful. I had a Fiio K2 in the past, however I have a question!
    I am looking for a new phone, and of course, no phone supports headphones anymore, like you already said in your review. I am not that much in too audio, but I just wanted to look for a solution that makes my IEM-headphones usable with a new phone. My only issue is, I sometimes use my headphones for calls. My best friend moved, so we still have regular calls. I am assuming the Fiio BTR3K takes a signal from my phone and plays this as music, but it cannot send back the music from a mic on the headphone cable? Or would this work? If that works this would be THE solution for me.... If it doesn't I'll have to look on for another solution. Thank you for your time.

    Is there a difference in quality if you use this to listen to music streaming e.g spotify, compared to using FLAC local files when they both have to be transmitted to the bluetooth using the respective codec formats anyways?

    • @RandomReviewSquad
      @RandomReviewSquad  3 роки тому +2

      Ah both FLAC files and Spotify is transmitted via the best possible audio codec ur phone has. I'm sure the FLAC files would be slightly better but it may not be discernible. I think the real diff using the fiio comes in powering the earpieces to it's full extent and allowing for the best possible codec. Of course if u compare within codecs I would say LDAC is better and the others do have a difference. But comparing FLAC and Spotify's highest is pretty difficult.

    • @haepisaus
      @haepisaus 3 роки тому +1
