Cute bunny! I'm using BTR3K with FiiO FH1S. I upgraded from BTR1K and I find the range better and love that there is an app for EQ/channel balance that stores the settings in the BTR3K. AptxHD works great for range and quality, and to be honest I can't hear the difference between wired and BT so it's a great device for IEM in my opinion.
Yes, it works via cable too. The feature is named USB DAC - www.fiio.com/newsinfo/380484.html#:~:text=The%20BTR3K%20can%20be%20connected,as%20the%20USB%20DAC%20mode.

Can I connect the BTR3K via usb-c to the pc to use as a DAC to then listen to it on my headphones with and without wire? 2. Can I also connect this device to my iPhone via usb-c to lightning and listen with my headphones with and without wire?
Ok, so for PC, you can connect it via USB cable, but it only works with wired cables, it does not send bluetooth signal, only receive it. For iPhone, I actually do not know. It should work, but I don't have one to test and to say for sure... Once again, it cannot send bluetooth signal only receive it
What is the difference between 2.5mm Balanced and 3.5mm SE please? Is the 2.5mm better? If I use them for headphones with 3.5mm jack, is there a 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable I can use?
There is more power on 2.5mm balanced. There is no 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter, because 2.5mm has 4 poles, it would short out and possibly fry the components inside. If you can't use 2.5mm balanced, you're losing about 30-45% power, and some clarity / dynamics.

Damn, I just got it brand new. And I just went to sound settings in windows and realized the issue is just the left channel.
The right channel sounds crystal clear but the left is totally messed up.
@@DocRealTalk really sorry to hear that 😔
It is not common really
I can't decide what to pick can you help me? 😔
I use kz zs10 pro and im a rider i hate when the wired of my iem trouble me when im driving so i wanna buy bluetooth receiver, which one ia good? Btr3k or btr5? TIA 🙂 all your reviews are informative and i like how you reply to all the comments keep it up audiophile heaven ❤️
Thank you for all your kind words! For ZS10 PRO in particular, I would recommend BTR3K more, the ZS10 PORO is a bit on the sharp / strong treble end of things, and BTR3K is smoother up top, so the pairing may work well. If you want better long-term usage, go for BTR5, you will keep it for longer, and will give better overall sound with more expensive IEMs too if you will upgrade.
@@AudiophileHeaven oh well decided then I'd go for btr5 🙂 thank you audiophile heaven, will look into your iems review to match the btr5 thank you so much
I was looking to use the Meze classics 99 with this. Would BTR3K suffice or should I go for BTR5?
BTR5, this one doesn't have enough power and you need the magical 5 🙂
@@AudiophileHeaven Awesome, thanks!
How's it sound?
Quite good and natural
does this work as a bluetooth adapter for pc? like can i plug this fiio btr3k into my pc via usb and connect my bluetooth headset to the fiio to listen to music and have calls?
Hi there
Not really, you can use it as a USB DAC. It had a microphone, but I don't think it is recognized by windows
You can connect it to your computer, via USB, and use it as a soundcard. But it doesn't act as a Bluetooth transmitter, just receiver
does it provide better sound quality than fiio m3k?
It is smoother. Pretty similar. Wouldn't say either is above the other, but depending which you find more handy, go for it.
@@AudiophileHeaven i love the design of m3k and have an offer to get a brand new m3k at around 50$
@@maruf.ahmed6432 go for it, it's a great deal!

hi. really nice video! may i know if they can be connected to laptop as an external soundcard? Im asking because I want my DAW like fl studio to use this instead of my laptop's sound card.
Hi, nd thank you! Yes, it works perfectly like that too, and it even sounds better than while on bluetooth!
@@AudiophileHeaven ah i see. thank you! :D
I have a question and I would be so grateful if you could help me. I have a btr3, if I hook it to the E30 running 3.5mm from the fiio to the coaxial input on the E30 would it convert the signal to the E30 specs or just pass it straight through to my amp unchanged? Any thoughts you have would be greatly appreciated. That way I could use the e30 with Bluetooth but I don't want to do it unless I get a better signal than the fiio btr3 has. Thank you.
Hi there!
You are getting a different signal, but BTR3 would already have done processed the signal, I don't think adding E30 in that chain would really improve the sound, there are BT receivers that have pure digital optical outputs, like Project Bluetooth Box E, or Triangle AIO Connect
@@AudiophileHeaven I think if I add a analog to digital converter between the btr3 and the topping it will solve the issue. It costs $16 on Amazon and would insure that I am getting the E30 sound that I want. Thanks for the reply. I sent you a link to some music via email that you might enjoy.
How is the sound of btr3k compared to fiio m5?
BTR3K is thicker, warmer, smoother treble. M5 is more natural in general.
@@AudiophileHeaven thnx for the reply, do you remember which of them has better soundstage? btr3k for 90$ & m5 for 120$, which one do you think is a better choice?
@@anveshUA-cam M5 is wider, slightly better in soundstage
compare to Shanling UP2?
I will try my best to compare the two, I'm still waiting for Shanking UP2 , don't know what happened to the package and when I will get it :(
Will it sufficiently power Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro with 32 ohm impedance?
It should be enough, depending on how loud you listen. If you're a loud listener, go for BTR5
Audiophile Heaven thanks a lot 😃
Does this work being an amp for TWS earphones? connected on PC, Phone and DAP
not really, you cannot amp TWS earphones since they all have their own DAC and AMP chips inside
@@AudiophileHeaven Thank you very much! Can spotify be compatible as an app for this btr3k? Cause It takes a lot of effort downloading and impoting to sd card
Can I use btr3k as dongle dac straight to android phone? I can do it on btr5 but not sure on btr3k :)
Yes, both have the ability. As long as the cable works with BTR5 should work with BTR3K. Needs to be a data cable
I`ve just discovered your channel, you make really good content. I recently got my Hifiman Deva and I want to get a small DAC to use them, do yo recommend the BTR 5 or the BTR3K? . Thanks and keep the good work!
Hi there, and thank you! Go for BTR5 , BTR3k is not enough for Deva
@@AudiophileHeaven Great, the BTR5 was my first option because the price difference was'nt too much and the specs were obviously better. Thanks for the quick reply and Greetings from Spain!

Hi I reallly want to prevent cable jerks when streaming to discord or twitch but because these are typically gaming streams I not only need the bluetooth I need as low a latency as possible from something like a FiiO BTR3K to the PC--has any youtuber done a simple BTR3K latency test to all the usual suspects? Like Windows iOS Android Switch?
Hugs be safe and stay healthy thank u for the great insights into BTR3K I am hungry for more info :3
Hii, and thank you so much for your kind words!
As about your question, I am not sure if BTR3K wpould help that much, the speed is ok, but not for live streaming. Even with aptX LL , you may still notice the difference. BTR5 is the fastest in the world, so if that won't be good enough, nothing will help as a bluetooth device
Ah so BTR5 has even lower latency when compared with BTR3K?
@@lhd7105 Slightly better latency, yes. Also connection stability is slightly better on BTR5, but can still be spotty for some folks (as reported on FB...)
What was the Iems you showed with the btr5 and the btr3k while telling about the orientation of the Headphone jack.
The blue ones were FiiO Jade EA3, and the grey ones were the Fischer AMPS FA 4 EXB
After 60 years of listening to music ,loudly ,my ears have paid the dues. I’ve been happy with my fiio Kilimanjaro e11, and decided to go Bluetooth with the BTR3K but I can’t get the volume I need ,can you suggest a amp ,not necessarily Bluetooth, that gives the loudest volume for my iPod, thanks in advance
Hii there!
Depends a bit on the price you're willing to go for, but I would have considered BTR5, it has considerably more volume than BTR5. I cannot confirm the compatibility with iPod, but Earstudio HUD100 MKII has LOTS of power, here: amzn.to/33PECF7
Also, BTR5 can be found here: amzn.to/3hrUqpB
Or, something also on BT, but with good power, Qudelix 5K: amzn.to/3flM53Z
I enjoy your video and I am very happy when you can do some audio test
10 star 🌟 to you..
Thanks a lot! I will be doing my best to improve my videos as time goes forward!!
Sir, i have the btr3, when I use it with ldac codec, it only can play about 4-5 hours in about 70% volume...how about the btr3k...? Does it have a better battery life with ldac codec...?
Hiii,
That sounds about right, battery life is not great on those 😭
Mine btr3k can be fully charged and within 5 minutes it will say 80% Battery then every hour after that it will lose 20% Battery .
I've had it for years now and only just recently started back using it again so this makes no sense.
I have the BTR7 in a clip case but it's so heavy .
I'm thinking I might buy the BTR5 2021 Version To Replace The BTR3K .

The audio port direction shouldn't matter cause you can orient the clip whichever way you like
Yes, that's true too. I think it has a bit of text that would otherwise be upside down (?)
Looking for how to use the btr3k DAC capability I was hoping this would cover, any suggestions anyone?
You can plug in the USB cable, and it should see that it is being used as a USB DAC natively on Android (?)
On windows it should be similar, I don't think you need drivers for BTR5 and BTR3K

Can btr3k run hd58x?

How's the latency when playing games with it? Is there a mic built in the btr3k?
There can be zero latency if you connect it on wire, or use aptX LL. As for a MIC, yes it has an omnidirectional microphone, pretty fair quality one too!
By the way, how's the sound compared to ibasso dc01 I'm just curious.

Will consider it! xD
Btr 5 or btr 3k?
For sound alone, BTR5 for sure, but if you have a bright IEM / Earphone, BTR3K is warmer, smoother, so it may have better synergy / pairing.
@@AudiophileHeaven I saw a blog say that btr 5 many bug, and the Bluetooth stability also not good as btr3k. Btr5 suitable for the headphone/speaker who need bigger output power. The sound quality also not different so much, just maybe more details in btr5. In the same time, EQ not support for flac and usb dac.
Cons between 2 dac here~
Btr 5:
-more powerful output for headphone/speaker
-more details sound
Btr3k:
-Bluetooth range wide
-battery life longer up to 11 hour
