This tune in this presentation is sublime. Anita’s voice moves like a saxophone, and sounds so natural it’s like she’s just talking! 💆♀️ Makes my brain feel nice and pampered.
In most Dave Frishberg songs, the lyrics are key; they don't lend themselves to the kind of musical bending and twisting Anita O'Day specialized in. An okay rendition, but there are better ones.

Anita is beyond compare as a trail-blazing singer, and such a fearless human being. If you don't know that, look her up!
Great voice, and WOW, Johnnie Rae completely owning that vibraphone, EXCELLENT.
best rendition.
Wonderful
Music & lyrics by Dave Frishberg who wrote also 'I'm Hip' (Blossom Dearie)
I wonder if the little white glove we click on with was borrowed from Anita.?
Nastier (and sexier) than Blossom Dearie’s super cool version. What can I say? I love them both.
I think she sang "boil me a crab" not "call me a cab"
Thanks Hiếu Tô !
That's the lyric:"Send out for scotch, boil me a crab."
thanks
I love Anita but, Nancy Wilson’s version is my fav.
i started to sing the lyrics in my oms car and I was grounded wtf
???
Which album?
Cal Tjader And Anita O'Day: Time For Two, of Verve Records. 1962.

I prefer Dusty Springfield's live version - more fun and fresh.
